Workin’ It Wednesday: Transitioning Wardrobe Summer to Fall

September 13, 2017 by Rechelle 2 Comments

Today I am linking up with Erika and Shay for a Workin’ It Wednesday post talking all about transitioning our wardrobe from Summer to Fall.

I LOVE a 3/4 sleeve shirt!!! Give me all the raglan tee’s too and I’m a happy girl 😉 I think the length is perfect as the weather starts to cool down and they can easily be dressed up or down. I picked up these 2 during a sale from Sign Here and since they are tunic length they’re going to be great with leggings too!

Plaid simply screams fall, right?!?! I also added this lightweight hooded jacket during a sale from Sign Here to my closet recently. It is warm but not too warm since it is quite light and is roomy enough that I can definitely layer under it as well.

I love my converse, they are just so versatile and go with a casual or dressy outfit by adding something unexpected. Since I’ve had my one pair for 4+ years I finally decided to add another to my wardrobe during the Nordstrom anniversary sale! Plus I love that I don’t even have to tie these 😉

Booties are the perfect dress shoe for fall and spring when it gets just a little too cold to wear sandals. I added these to my closet last year and have worn them countless times since! Get yourself a good neutral bootie!
I’ve recently been purchasing more and more of these earrings, seriously they claim to be life changing and while I thought that was cute and funny at first it is not an understatement AT ALL!!! Seriously I have never been a large or statement earrings wearer but I am OBSESSED with these! They are so lightweight, come in 3 sizes, and tons of patterns/colors. Thinking I need to add this camo pair to my accessories for fall…

What are your favorite transition pieces?

Any advice on sizing for the Converse sneakers? I usually wear an 8.5 in a regular shoe and a 9 in a running shoe. I hear you have to size down.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

I regularly wear a size 7 in almost all shoes, I’d also say my foot is closer to narrow. Both my pairs of Converse are size 7 too! I possibly could have sized down maybe a half size in these shoreline version but I’m very happy with my regular size. Nordstrom is awesome with returns (free shipping) so I would suggest ordering through them in case you need to exchange sizes 🙂
