Hello Monday and hello to a short work week, can you believe Thanksgiving is this week!?!? This weekend we did ALL the thanksgiving prep and we are ready to host! Well except we pick up our turkey today after work and then we’ll pick up the pies Wednesday after work too.
I went ahead and changed out my Thanksgiving decor for Christmas this weekend too! We will be celebrating Thanksgiving a day late and I would have changed it out before we gather together anyway, plus my husband and I will be in AZ for 2 weeks at Christmas time and I wanted to be sure to enjoy my decor! So I thought what better time than to share my Thanksgiving decor right after I took it all down hehe 😉
I’ve got these cute pumpkin coasters & doily made by my mom. I also put a few pumpkins behind our couch which has proven difficult to keep from sweet Hal as he thinks they are toys, ha!
I tinkered quite a bit with the table centerpiece but was pretty happy with how it ended up turning out!
This corner on our kitchen counter is always a fun place to play with some festive decor.
My all time favorite is decorating my hutch though! This snoopy frame was a thrift find that was gifted to me and is just PERFECT!!!
Also a little something to consider…as you enjoy your Thanksgiving with family & friends or participate in Black Friday shopping, know that many truckers & their families sacrifice their holidays so that you can have yours – they deliver all the produce and goods so stores are stocked for you to shop to make your meal or find the amazing deal . I know this isn’t the only profession that makes this sacrifice but it is the one that hits closest to me. So as I list all I’m thankful for in my life I also include all the people who sacrifice their holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) for others. My dad is an over the road trucker and we’ve celebrated many holidays either early or late since he started this job about 5 years ago. We won’t be gathering for Thanksgiving as a family until Friday, but I’m a proud daughter of a trucker and each time I shop I’m say a little prayer of thanks for those who make it possible and think of my Dad!
Do you decorate for Thanksgiving or do you go straight in to Christmas? Are you ready for Thanksgiving this week?
