Howdy friends! I’m winding down our weekend here with you today, linking up for Hello Monday with Heather. It wasn’t much but it was everything we needed π
Friday morning we awoke to a winter wonderland. Thankfully it wasn’t too much snow and didn’t result in poor driving conditions but it was SO pretty on all the trees, everything was just blanketed with sparkly white.
Saturday was a whole lot of tinkering around the house…Kicked off with pancakes made by by hubby, YUM!
I won a giveaway of succulents a couple weeks ago and they arrived on Saturday! I was SO EXCITED to have won, love my succulent collection π So I moved around my cacti too and finally got them in my Rae Dunn that was gifted to me.
Then I got my little gallery wall collection hung up above our sliding door in our kitchen/dinning area. I think i need to spray paint the cactus to make it stand out more and I think I mat still add more but I’m happy right now!
Sunday I gave the beags a new toy, a skunk. Which they were sprayed by a skunk in November and the scent still vaguely lingers on them, OY! They played pretty good together for a bit though!
On Sunday’s I’ve been trying to use my Dutch oven to make a big meal for dinner, this week was Beef Bourguignonne Pot Pie. It turned out SO AMAZING!!! Can’t believe I didn’t find this until now, but will definitely be making it ALL winter long next year!!! It was a little a little time intensive but so WORTH IT!
How was your weekend!?!?

Happy Monday Rechelle! Oh the pot pie looks delish… something about something warm and soothing and in a pastry crust that get to me especially when it’s cold!
Regarding this skunk “vapor trail”… my Golden had a similar encounter a few years back – not a direct spray but the remnants of the skunk’s vapor trail. We found this product, Nature’s Miracle Skunk Smell remover, to be very effective. It looks like water – you run it on your dog fur, let it sit, and shampoo/rinse. I talked to the Nature’s Miracle people – you could even leave it on – it’s that gentle. Here’s the weblink – there are directions on the page…

Thanks Laurie, yes the pot pie was perfect for cold weather! Yum π
That skunk remover product is exactly what we used too! It worked SO WELL, I’ll always recommend it in the future too! Our beags still have a vague scent when they get wet and the one that got a direct spray to the forehead has a faint scent every now & then too. I used it to wash our clothes after handling the dogs & I even sprayed down our couch multiple times, very gentle. Thank you so much for sharing! π
