Phew, we had a busy yet very fulfilling weekend! I’ll wind it down for you here 😉
On Friday my best friend’s sister got married, Callie is also a really good friend of mine! So after a day of work we got to celebrate in the best way! First my hubby and I went out for drinks and apps after work to hold us over for the wedding/reception, some of his coworkers tagged along.
Of course everything was beautiful and we had SO MUCH FUN at the wedding and reception!
Since we were gone at work all day Friday and then most of the night too at the wedding, I asked my parents to come stay at our house to look after our dogs. Then of course since the whole fam was together we decided we might as well hit up a Tigers game as well! We usually go to a game in May for Mother’s Day but the Tigers were away this year and had the Mother’s day game on a Tuesday…it worked out though that we could go for Father’s Day weekend instead!
We love getting to Detroit early to do a little exploring and then grab some food before the game. We celebrated my dad and had such a fun time! Last year I wrote this post for his birthday and of course this Father’s Day I still feel the same 🙂
Sunday we took it easy and soaked up the last bit of weekend!
It was the 24 Hours of Le Mans race this weekend and it was intense at the end! While the ending was disappointing for us I had to laugh at this progression of Ron…the race was close and my husband may or may not have been slightly stressed lol!
We wrapped up the weekend with dinner out on our deck and then dessert featuring fresh lovely smelling strawberries that I picked up at our local farmer’s market that afternoon, I also made some homemade whipped cream to top them! YUM!
