Whew what a busy and fulfilling weekend! I’m winding down today and sharing our fun.
On Saturday my girlfriends and their significant others came over for little get together and we had so much fun! Everyone brought a little something to contribute to our taco/nacho/burrito bar and I think it turned out awesome. It was pretty simple for us to put together and worked great for a group.
I did a search through Pinterest and put together a few holiday themed games for us to play as couples. This was the festive scoreboard that I quick whipped up. We were way to busy having a blast that I didn’t even think to grab pictures as we played, things were intense and SO FUN!
Candy Cane Relay was a simple one, you just need some candy canes. Each team members gets a candy cane and holds it in their mouth, one teammate will try to hook the candy canes from the pile and pass them to the other. Once transferred that teammate has to put the candy canes in the designated area across the room, put one minute on the clock and see how many each team can collect.
Wreath Swish was easy to put together but racing against the clock made it intense. Just grab some marshmallows, a wreath, and a bucket. The couples had one minute to toss as many marshmallows through the wreath and into the bucket.
Dizzy ornament was quite funny! I wasn’t exactly sure how this one would work out but was quite impressed. We tied a long piece of twine together around the waists of each couple. One team member had to load the pulley with an ornament and they worked together to get the ornament to the other team member by spinning. Once it reached the other end the ornament was removed and the process was repeated. We used 3 ornaments and just timed who was fastest.
Last, gift wrapping was hilarious! Each couple had to work together to wrap a gift but only using one hand each. This game required a roll of wrapping paper, tape, scissors, ribbon and bows for each couple. We really had to spread out and I was seriously impressed with how our gifts came out!
Finally, on Sunday we had a group of friends over to help lift and take off the body from the Corvette. We ordered pizza and just hung out with the football game on. It also was in the middle of a snowstorm so we were VERY THANKFUL for the friends that made the trek to help us out.
I am feeling so very full of life after getting to spend some quality time with great friends around the holidays! Ready to get through this week, its almost Christmas friends 🙂
