What a weekend! I picked my sister up from the airport in the middle of the night on Thursday, her flight got in at 12:30a Friday morning and is about an hour from my house. So work on Friday was a little rough.
Thankfully Friday evening was the First Friday’s Food Truck Festival in our town so we fueled up with some yummy food! We even brought Hank and Hal along and while they were slightly loud and crazy is was great family fun!
We spent the weekend prepping and our garden! I’m so excited for it to grow, grow, grow! I honestly just love the work that goes into gardening and plants, seeing my care grow is so rewarding, even if the plants don’t successfully produce it is still just neat to watch!
This weekend was HOT, over 80 degrees each day and the sun was intense, so during the peak hours we retreated inside away from the heat and harsh rays. And Ron spent some good quality time in the garage!
We grabbed lunch at our favorite little pub in Holly, Irish Nachos and a Strawberry Basil Lemonade cocktail for me 🙂
Each evening once the sun started to go down and it cooled off we sat out on the deck, Ron played guitar while I played fetch with Hal and Hank sniffed all the scents coming in. It was such a PERFECT weekend and I am looking to so many more just like it with my little family 🙂
