Oh what a fun weekend celebrating our boy!! On Friday Ro had his 12 month well check with the pediatrician and then also his first dentist appointment. He came in at 63rd percentile for weight, 70th for height, and over 99th for head circumference! We also learned at the dentist that he has 10 teeth because all of his molars except one have broken through!! I tell ya the kid doesn’t show teething signs, but we’re not complaining π
After those not so exciting things, though he did excellent through it all, I set up a little fun activity for us in the afternoon, Valentine’s sand!
Then on Saturday it was PARTY TIME! We decided on the theme Penguins & Pizza because Ronald LOVES penguins and any food with red tomato sauce, like spaghetti & pizza. We got all of the decor on either Amazon or Etsy. We decided on having the party at a local restaurantΒ with a pizza lunch buffet, that way we didn’t have to make or get food so it was super easy! Plus there was no big clean up in our house to do.
I picked up cupcakes & cookies that I had ordered from a local bakery and we also set out a few fun & on theme snacks: pizza flavored goldfish, swedish fish, and sno-caps. I also grabbed some fruit at the grocery store to balance the pizza & salad buffet.
It was fun catching up with friends & family to celebrate the first year with our sweet Ro. We all took the rest of the weekend pretty easy!
Awe happy 1st birthday Ro! It looks like it was so cute Rechelle & Ron! π
Thank you SO much Sara!!
His party looks so fun- love the theme- I am sure he had a ball! Yeah- Happy 1 Year!!
Hehe, thank Holly! Fun to celebrate, but also glad to have the party behind us π
The party looks amazing! I love the Rae Dunn bowls. I also love the gif of Ro playing with the sand!
Thank you Dara! I love that GIF too, one that Google Photos just made for me π
Such sweet pictures from his first birthday! Good for you for taking him to the dentist so early π We haven’t even taken Ella for a true check up yet and she has dental parents… oops! Lucky you for no teething signs!!! I want to try your sand project but I am so nervous about the mess LOL! Can’t have fun without making a little mess, right? π
Thanks Ashley! Yeah, I never had a great experience at the dentist and neither did my husband as a kid so we’re hoping early & positive exposure helps Ro have a better relationship with the dentist π I was hesitant on the sand too but it took less than 5 minutes to make and clean up and Ro had the BEST time with it so it was worth it!! Plus it is taste safe so while I did discourage him from eating it I also wasn’t worried when he did put some to his mouth lol.
What a great birthday party! pizza π and penguins π§. Iβm on board. You’ve got one healthy bouncing boy! So much love….
Thanks so much Laurie!!! We sure do π
Lucky, enjoy every moment.
