HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING! It’s still cold here but it feels like we’re getting closer and closer to warmer weather 🙂
We had the BEST weekend! I love when there aren’t many plans and we just get to spend our time together doing anything we want. Saturday I only grabbed a couple photos…Ron went to class while I grocery shopped at Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s (I’m a sucker for their inexpensive flowers!), then I got in some good reading time while I waited for him to get out of class. We also met friends for lunch! Then we stayed up to watch the 12 Hours of Sebring, but if I’m honest I fell asleep, Corvette won though!
Sunday was BEAUTIFUL! Ron worked out in the garage nearly all day, sold the Corvette engine and bought the replacement too. I cleaned up the house, changed out my holiday decor, and just enjoyed time with my boys!
The neighbor dog, Bo came over for a little visit. I gave the beags a new toy and they played Tug O’ War. We snoozed. And I read. And I didn’t stop reading. 300+ pages later and I’ve got my second book for the month completed. This weekend was a fave for sure!
Just for a moment I have to brag about this guy, my favorite guy! We’ve been dealing with this claims process since our accident almost two weeks ago and certainly it is not enjoyable. There have been times where my anxiety skyrockets and I’m stressing over it yet he is right there filling my head with positives and calming me down. I’d also like the think I’ve been there with affirmations for him as well since he’s gotten stressed a little too. But then he goes and puts together a full on report to submit to our insurance. I’m talking detailed sections, supporting data, and figures! His professors would be so proud of this report haha. It put the biggest smile on my face reading it and I also wanted to cry. I love being married to this engineer of mine because he doesn’t just work as an engineer, he is one down to the core, its just who he is 🙂
