What an awesome weekend we had! This is how I kicked it off on Friday =]
I baked up some birthday pupcakes for Hank and Hal on Friday to properly celebrate, of course they devoured them! Find the recipe here, I modified it slightly and I’m sure you could mix and match it to fit your dog’s needs too. See my post from Friday where I celebrated these 2 by sharing their stories.
Saturday we stopped by an open house for friends launching their coffee business. I’m not a coffee drinker but they did have sweets and snacks that I enjoyed 😉 Then since I had birthday money to burn I shopped at a local boutique and found a few goodies! It can be a little pricier but the clothes are super cute and higher quality. I’m hoping to continue to upgrade my closet by adding some nicer pieces and I think this is going to be a go to place to shop for those items! I also spotted this cute mug! For me ‘blogging day” usually lands on Sunday while we watch the Tigers together. Which is exactly what I’m doing right now as I write this.
Sunday we hit up the movie theater to see The Secret Life of Pets – so fun! We prefer to take advantage of the earliest showtime since it tends to not be busy, tickets are cheaper, plus the theater is clean. I also had a birthday coupon for a free small popcorn so for everything we were under $15! I loved the movie and thought it was so cute 🙂 We spent the afternoon enjoying the nice weather, tidying up the house and soaking up some beagle love! Oh I also pulled out my summer decor so expect a house tour featuring that on Friday! It wasn’t a busy weekend but it sure was enjoyable. This is how Hank and Hal spend every Sunday. They sure know how to be lazy and wind down from the weekend!
I shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this weekend too – here is what I’m looking forward to arriving on my doorstep, hopefully soon too! I’ll share the items I love once I try everything on.
