What we’re eating this week…
I decided to try out a meal subscription from Home Chef, taking advantage of a promo code and wanting to try their oven ready meals. We still have one more left to try this week but the other 2 meals were incredibly easy & tasty too! There was very little prep and since it comes with the dish to cook everything in clean up was simply our plates & utensils. I don’t think we’d stick with a subscription regularly but to change things up now & then or if we know we’ll have a busy week or perhaps for after a weekend away I will certainly be keeping Home Chef in mind!!
What I’m reminiscing about…
This post showed up in my FB memories this week… I can’t believe that it has been 4 years since Ron sold his Corvette and then just a little over a week later bought our forever Vette!
What I’m loving…
Nickel & Suede ran a promo last week where you buy one pair of earrings from a special set & they give you an identical free pair to give away…the nurse who does the screening of employees at my work everyday compliments my N&S or gets sad on the rare occasion I don’t wear a pair. I took advantage of the promo & gifted her the free pair! She was so darn excited!!! So glad they run that promo & that I had the perfect opportunity to join in 🙂
What we’ve been up to…
Enjoying the last bits of Summer & the transition to Fall!
What I’m dreading…
The leaves, lol. They change color and are just so darn pretty, until they fall and you have to clean ’em all up! Most of the trees in our yard don’t shed their leaves until it snows, which really makes it hard to rake them then.
What I’m working on…
We finally decided on a costume for Ro in which Ron & I decided to coordinate with him! I ordered everything online over the weekend and just need to figure out the last few pieces for it to all come together 🙂
What I’m excited about…
My in-laws are visiting us soon from Arizona & we’re all so excited! We had originally planned to visit them in June/July but of course, Covid. My husband was able to see them around that time when he traveled to AZ for work but they haven’t seen Ro since Christmas!
What I’m watching/reading…
I haven’t been reading a whole lot, just in a phase where I feel like I need a little break.
What I’m listening to…
This morning we pulled up a kids Halloween playlist and had fun listening to that!
What I’m wearing…
Nothing exciting lol, seems like these days I’m more in to shopping for my son than myself!
What I’m doing this weekend…
My mother-in-love will be with Ro & I this weekend until Dada & Grandpa arrive on Monday.

Oh October! I’m looking forward to some Fall festive fun & Halloween!!

How awesome that your in-laws get to come visit. I can’t imagine how much they must be missing their grandson. (And you of course, but as we all know, once the grandkids come along it’s all about them!)
