WOW I can not believe another month has passed, linking up with Sheaffer & Shay to share a peek at our November.
What we’re eating this week…
In preparation for the long holiday weekend we thought it best to get some extra veggies in now this week since we’ll be feasting on Thanksgiving goods the rest of the week. That meant big salads on Monday! Also trying to balance a busy week with quick dinners & minimal leftovers since we want to save room in the fridge for all the yummy food on Thursday π
What I’m reminiscing about…
Looking back on past Thanksgivings! For the first time in what feels like forever, but probably just a couple years lol. we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving on the actual holiday. I always like to reshare this from year’s past…as you enjoy yourΒ ThanksgivingΒ with family & friends or participate in Black Friday shopping, know that many truckers & their families sacrifice their holidays so that you can have yours – they deliver all the produce and goods so stores are stocked for you to shop to make your meal or find that amazing deal . I know this isn’t the only profession that makes this sacrifice but it is the one that hits closest to me. So as I list all I’m thankful for in my life I also include all the people who sacrifice their holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) for others. My Dad is an over the road trucker and we’ve celebrated many holidays either early or late since he started this job. But I’m a proud daughter of a trucker and each time I shop I say a little prayer of thanks for those who make it possible and think of my Dad!
What I’m loving…
What we’ve beenΒ upΒ to…
Ro has been enjoying his Friday trips to the library with Grandma for Story Time. We finally started working on putting up Christmas decor in our home! We enjoy getting out for lunch dates. We take lots of selfies, usually in the morning.
What I’m dreading…
Not a darn thing! It is the holiday season and I don’t want to dread anything π
What I’m working on…
We do have a busy month ahead of us so I have been working on keeping us all organized & getting ahead when I can. Lists are my friend right now π
What I’m excited about…
I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving of course! Then we’ll have an early Christmas with my family before we’re off to Arizona for Christmas!
What I’m watching/reading…
I’ve started reading a couple Christmas books! It just doesn’t get better lol. I also have this book on my bedside table and try to read a short chapter from it each night, really enjoying it!
What I’m listening to…
We LOVE listening to our Charlie Brown Christmas Vinyl right now!!
What I’m wearing…
I’ve been patiently waiting to pull out all my festive holiday clothes, just added this fun one to my closet too!
What I’m doing this weekend…
I’m sure we’ll be doing some shopping, finishing up any Christmas decor, and getting in a little relaxation too!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
Christmas of course! But my bestie gets married too & I can wait to celebrate! <3
What else is new…
My hubby made a Trader Joe’s run for us this week to grab some essentials plus a few new things to try! He also grabbed some festive soaps for me since he knows I always enjoy them!!

I hadn’t thought about all the truckers sacrifice to keep delivering food (and other goods) to us. Thank you for raising my awareness of that.

I never thought about it until my Dad became a trucker, but I am much more aware of all the professions that sacrifice some of those holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Roβs first Thanksgiving! And thank you for the reminder of the truckers who transport our goods all over the country. The truckers are usually the courteous ones on the road; not the car drivers. I try to give the truckers space and let them maneuver safely.
Rechelle says
Thanks Laurie, and the same to you & yours! We’re excited for Ro to join the fun this year π Gosh yes though, the car drivers can be so terrible to truckers.

Oh my gosh, that first pic of Ro at the library melted me!! We’re with you on celebrating holidays on the wonky side, haha! This is Steven’s first Christmas day off in 4 years, so that means we’ve got random celebrations for all the other holidays. You are so right– lots of others make sacrifices so we can have celebrations with our families! I hope y’all have a wonderful first Thanksgiving with Ro!! π

He loves story time! Thanks Morie π
