Of course I have to join in for the monthly link up with Sheaffer & Shay to wrap up our May.
What we’re eating this week…
I made us breakfast Monday morning, typically Ron is our breakfast chef. We grilled burgers with baked potatoes & asparagus on Monday. Now we’re just trying to eat through some basics we’ve got before making a grocery run.
What I’m reminiscing about…
Just some then & now pictures…Ro’s first day of daycare & now
His first Memorial Day & now this year
What I’m loving…
I just tried these last night for the first time but the s’more I made with these was AMAZING!
What we’ve been up to…
We’ve been creating some fun things for Ro to play with! Outside he has his water table, we got a swing put up, he has a slide, and we just built him a small sandbox. Plus he has his trike that we push him around on and a little water splash pad! We spent most of the weekend outside 🙂
What I’m dreading…
To be honest, I’m dreading having to figure out navigating this next transition as our stay at home orders lift & things begin to reopen & we return to work/daycare. It was hard transitioning to staying home but now we’ve got a routine that has been working really well. I know that we’re not going back to normal for quite some time as everything will be phased but I dread having to figure out another new normal & routine.
What I’m working on…
Planting our garden, yay! Monday is was a bit warm so I was planting our potatoes in my swimsuit & enjoyed a run or two through Ro’s splash pad lol!
What I’m excited about…
I’m so excited for this nicer weather, spending time outdoors, with my family, and of course that growing garden!
What I’m watching/reading…
I pretty much only watch TV these days with Ro, which isn’t even once a day and less than 30 minutes when we do turn something on but we enjoy If You Give A Mouse A Cookie on Amazon Prime Video & Octonauts on Netflix.
What I’m listening to…
I’m trying to keep up with audiobooks but they are definitely taking me longer to get through. We’ve been listening to the Oldies playlist on Amazon Music the last couple days!
What I’m wearing…
Nothing new or to really talk about. Just pulled our some summer clothes.
What I’m doing this weekend…
No plans! We’ll probably just be home tinkering around the house.
What I’m looking forward to next month…
I’m not sure. Just summer weather in general I guess!
What else is new…
Not much!

I can totally relate to adjusting again to the “new norm” …daunting…we have never been through anything like this….yeah for planting your garden…can’t wait to see the goods!

Looking for the sunshine & focusing on that for now!

Loving your garden outfit- you look adorable. As does Ro in all those pics. What a fun outdoor space you guys have for him!!! I know it’s hard to think about adjusting to new ‘normals.’ It totally stinks… The world will open up around us but yet I still feel this anxiety inside and feel like everytime we go somewhere we’re putting our daughter’s life at risk or something. It’s a weird feeling so you’re definitely not alone there… xo

It is so hard but feels better to know we’re not alone through these tricky times! Trying to figure out what feels right & how much we expose ourselves or family.

Ro pouring the sand on himself is so cute. I hate readjusting to new routines again and again!
Rechelle says
He LOVES his sandbox! Yes, it’s like just as we get it figured out now it changes & we’ve got to re-figure it all out again, ugh!

Hi Rochelle! I can’t we believe we’re at the end of May “already”. I feel your nervousness about the changes in routines as the nation opens up. I’ve been home (furloughed) since Mar 16. It was hard the first week to adjust (except for extra sleep lol), and I go back to the office on Mon to new rules, traffic flow, masking, distancing, and of course the actual work (catching up and new business at once). 😟. One day and step at a time… I have 5 more days off to enjoy. Hugs from California

Thanks so much Laurie, yes one day at a time! Sending you positive vibes as you transition back to the office! We’ll all get there together <3

My kids LOVED Octonauts and bonus — it didn’t entirely drive me nuts either!!! Yes, navigating this new normal will be interesting indeed…
Rechelle says
Lol, my husband might enjoy Octonauts more than our son!
