I can’t believe it is time for this monthly link up again already! I love wrapping up each month with Sheaffer & Shay 🙂
What we’re eating this week…
We’ve got some Trader Joe’s favorites on the menu, along with good ‘ol burgers & hot dogs, plus our ever favorite sweet potato burritos! I also had grabbed this Red Pepper spread on a whim from Trader Joe’s, it was excellent on our chicken!!!
What I’m reminiscing about…
June is filled with so many memories, sometimes I forget these little things…We found out 2 years ago in June that we were pregnant & then announced it to our parents as well. We bought our first & current home in June 6 years ago now. My Papa’s birthday was in June & we also lost him 10 years ago in June. I walked at commencement for my bachelor’s degree six years ago in June.
What I’m loving…
These flowers are blooming and they’re my faves! They keep spreading each year and I wouldn’t mind if they took over the entire flower bed 😉
What we’ve been up to…
Spending all the time outside!
What I’m dreading…
Transitioning back to work onsite. I don’t have a date yet on my return but I do know they are assessing the situation & working on how & when to get all employees back on site. It has been incredibly difficult working from home with a toddler, but man I have so enjoyed all the time with my little family so I know it may be even harder to transition back.
What I’m working on…
Tending to my garden! Making time to water daily & keep the weeds at bay each week. Most everything is growing so well and I can’t wait until we can start eating some of the things from our garden.
What I’m excited about…
I’m excited for a few days off next week, we don’t have any plans but it will be nice to have a little break!
What I’m watching/reading…
You can find my last book review post here. I have been trying to balance reading one physical book & one audiobook at a time – sometimes I need the ease of an audiobook as I do chores, etc. But I much prefer a physical book so I’ve been trying to make more time for that too! (Although I have to say I listen to audiobooks at 1.85 speed and I certainly do not read that fast so I do get a little annoyed at how much longer it can take to physically read a book lol)
What I’m listening to…
I love listening to Ro “talk” <3
What I’m wearing…
Give me alllll the graphic tees! I’ve always loved graphic tees but I don’t think I ever bought many, so I’ve indulged a bit recently!
What I’m doing this weekend…
We don’t have any plans for the weekend so we’ll see where it takes us!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
July is birthday month! The first was always my grandma’s birthday, then mine, the beags, then Ron’s, and lastly my mom & aunt’s – it’s a month full 🙂
What else is new…
I grabbed these unity dolls for Ro and they are just the sweetest! A little smaller than I was expecting but we really love them and I think they will make a good size to be like babies for future baby dolls.

Happy almost end of June – whoa. What a wonderful list of life events to recall for June. Life is beautiful and good, especially through a child’s eyes. I know your worries about returning to work site… I’m 4 weeks back and still not used to the distancing rules and masking everywhere but my workspace. I missed some of my coworkers though. Enjoy each day at home…

So true about life through a child’ eyes! I think it will take quite some time to get used to the changes on site at work, current employees have to wear masks even at their workspace, only taking off to eat or drink. I love my co-workers here at home 😉

Ro is adorable and at such a fun age!
Your yellow flowers are spreading beautifully. Might you share the name of them? Thankyou.
Rechelle says
Thank you, yes so much fun!
The flowers were a gift that someone divided from their own home & gave to me upon moving in to our home 6 years ago…I am not certain of the name but I think they are often referred to as Sundrops, an evening primrose maybe.

Happy Birthday month! And those Unity dolls are adorable. I’m tempted to get some for my kids even though they’re already 9 and 11.
