What we’re eating this week…
It is all about leftovers this week & getting by on what we’ve got! My mom sent us home with food from the weekend we spent at my parent’s house. So we’re clearing out the fridge this week to get ready for Christmas & our week off next week!
What I’m reminiscing about…
I’m looking back on our Christmas cards through the years and thinking about how next year a babe will be joining us – as if wrangling 2 beagles for pictures isn’t enough chaos 😉
What I’m loving…
Holly mentioned these candies on her blog a couple weeks ago which reminded me that I love them too, so I picked some up while grocery shopping & have been enjoying them this month!
What we’ve been up to…
Hubby decided to start the project of putting a roll cage in the Corvette, I think it’s his form of nesting lol! And I’ve been making all the holiday treats the last couple weeks, this is my batch from last night.
What I’m dreading…
It’s Christmas time, I’m not dreading a single thing!
What I’m working on…
I am making ALL the lists! Things to get done while we’re home over the holiday shutdown, what to pack in the hospital bag, what to pack in the diaper bag, meals to make ahead for the freezer.
What I’m excited about…
Getting more excited the closer to January 29th we get & the arrival of Baby M!
What I’m watching/reading…
I’m still cramming in as many holiday themed books as I can! Picked these up on Monday night from my library 🙂
What I’m listening to…
Christmas music, as if there is anything else! This Hilary Duff album will ALWAYS be my favorite because my mom had this playing every single morning for my sister & I before school <3 But I am loving Lauren Daigle too!

What I’m wearing…
I’m really loving dresses with the growing bump, we received our maternity portfolio back and this velvet dress has been my FAVORITE! (I’ll be sharing the rest of the pics on Friday)
What I’m doing this weekend…
Taking it easy and getting ready for Christmas! Friday is the last day of work for both my husband & I until January 2nd since each of our work places shut down for the holidays – so thankful to have the extra time!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
Next month Baby M is due! Being due January 29th though he may come in January or he may not arrive until February, we shall see!
What else is new…
My Aunt has been killing it recently with all her thrift store finds and I am so grateful to be a recipient of some of those finds!! She found these festive Snoopy pieces for me a couple weeks ago. Then this past weekend she gave us all these Elf on a Shelf things!
BONUS Questions: What’s your favorite last minute gift?
Listen, I’m a big fan of giftcards. Many people think they aren’t special or not much thought goes into them but I’d much rather give & receive something that I know will be used! Package it up cute with some festive candies or cookies, a bottle of wine or pack of beer, etc.

Countdown to Christmas and your work shutdown. I am working between Christmas and New Years, hubby does not. Love that photo of Ron and you, and that velvet dress. Your treats look delish – sugar and I are having a battle of wills now. Let me know how you like the new Debbie Macomber book… I’ve loved her work for years… enjoy this special holiday season. 😊
Rechelle says
Thank you Laurie! I like to make treats but feed them to all my co-workers 😉 I am looking forward to digging in to the Debbie Macomber book ASAP, she has become a new favorite of mine this year! Hope your week is going quickly and you get to enjoy a long holiday weekend 🙂
