What we’re eating this week…
We leave on Friday for our annual anniversary trip which meant keeping our meals simple this week as we pack & prepare. I cooked enough rice for multiple meals…kielbasa & veggies over rice one night and spinach & swiss meatballs over rice another night. Filling in with veggie pasta another night and then just eating leftover must gos to clean out the fridge!
What I’m reminiscing about…
This time of year always has me looking back on our anniversary trips…Denver last year, Pittsburgh before that, and Chicago on our first anniversary!
What I’m loving…
I am loving all my zinnia’s! I love seeing them along our drive way as I pull in after work each day and I love having them displayed around my house so I can enjoy them even more <3
What we’ve been up to…
We’ve been clearing out a bedroom to turn into our nursery so that we can get started on that!
What I’m dreading…
I always dread leaving the beags when we go on vacation!
What I’m working on…
Trying our best to work on all things to prep for a baby – it’s a lot and can be overwhelming but we’re just doing a little at a time!
What I’m excited about…
Heading to KC to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary!
What I’m watching/reading…
I’ve been watching Call the Midwife on Netflix and am loving it!!!
What I’m listening to…
We’ll be going to see Turnpike Troubadours in concert on Friday night after we arrive in Kansas City, so I’ve been listening to all their albums the last couple weeks to get pumped up!
What I’m wearing…
I have yet to purchase any maternity clothes, though I have gotten quite close a couple times 😉 Well actually I did buy one dress that I use for our weekly bump picture! For the most part though I’ve still been able to make most everything in my closet still work so I’m holding on to that for as long as possible! (Friday I’ll share new bump pictures – the ones below were from here)
What I’m doing this weekend…
We’re off to Kansas City for our annual anniversary trip!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
Celebrating 4 years of marriage with my hubby AND having our anatomy ultrasound! (these is from our first ultrasound)
What else is new…
I picked up this hedgehog light at Ikea last weekend and it just makes me smile!

That nightlight is adorable!
Congrats on your coming addition!!!!
I always hate leaving my dogs as well when we go on vacation… which is basically why we havent gone on vacation in like 8 years 🙂 haha
Rechelle says
THANK YOU! I am so with you lol, the only reason I’ll go on vacation is if I know my sister or parents will be able to watch our dogs – they’re the only ones I trust 😉

Happy Wednesday Rechelle… your upcoming anniversary trip sounds like a lot of fun. I’m also on a mission to eat up/clean out the leftover food in the frig so I can wash the insides and shelves this weekend. Love the ultrasound of your Baby M. Woof to the beagles.
Rechelle says
Thank you Laurie! Good idea on emptying out & cleaning up the fridge 🙂
