What we’re eating this week…
The last couple weeks I had kind of felt a little uninspired while meal planning, but I’m happy to have finally shaken that this week lol! Our lineup this week includes Veggie Fried Rice, Garlic Parm & Roasted Red Pepper Chicken, Hot Dogs (which we’ve both been craving), Grilled Pizza, Steak Fajitas, and Buffalo Ranch Chicken Meatballs – yum, yum, and YUM!
What I’m reminiscing about…
I was just thinking about the fact that we’re coming up on the date that Ron proposed to me! Can’t believe it has been almost 5 years since I said yes 😉
What I’m loving…
These warmer temps and actual real spring like weather! Seeing sunshine just makes me happy!
What we’ve been up to…
All the walks and adventures that we can! We’ve been saying yes to the beags as much as possible and it has been the absolute best for all of us 🙂
What I’m dreading…
I have a Dentist appointment on Monday and it is just my absolute least favorite thing to do…as a kid my teeth didn’t really fall out on their own so I had to get most of them pulled by the dentist. I also had 4 adult teeth extracted since my mouth is too small and wouldn’t be able to fit them. I had a palate expander and full set of braces too. And of course had to have my wisdom teeth removed as well. So yeah I’ve had more than enough dental & orthodontic work in my mouth – don’t get me wrong though, I so appreciate my parents paying to make sure I had good teeth!!! And I was especially thankful that they were proactive and I was done with everything before starting high school – so I didn’t have to have braces in pictures as a senior! But the dentist still just gives me anxiety :\
What I’m working on…
Right now I’ve been getting ready for my garden. I’ve got my seeds started indoors and some have already started sprouting! I do all of my garden from seed and I think it just makes it more exciting & rewarding – not everything ends up working out though but that is okay 🙂
What I’m excited about…
I’m excited because today marks my 300th blog post!!!
What I’m watching/reading…
You can read here for my April book review – I’ve finished 3 audiobooks so far this month and am wrapping up one other physical book right now. Also keeping up with Grey’s Anatomy and just waiting to find out the story lines of April Kepner & Arizona Robbins that will be leaving the show!?!
What I’m listening to…
I used to carpool to work with my hubby but since he got a job at a different location I’ve had to start driving myself to work – so I took up listening to audiobooks. And I CAN NOT BE STOPPED! I just check out/download/use an app from my library so they’re all free and I am loving it.
What I’m wearing…
These are a few of my favorite accessories that I just CAN NOT stop wearing lately! Nickel & Suede Earrings, Jord Wood Watch, Von Jet Silhouette Necklace, Dog Bone & Name Necklade, and Detroit Tigers Earrings.
What I’m doing this weekend…
Saturday we’re meeting up with my besties & their significant others – so good getting to catch up with one another!!!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
We’ve got some fun coming up next month! My sister’s birthday, an Anderson East concert, and we’re headed to the Indy 500!
What else is new…
We stopped in Walmart quick on Sunday for oil & a fliter but of course I had to browse The Pioneer Women stuff too 😉 Came home with these adorable hound dog salt & pepper shakers, soap dispenser, and a cactus print tablecloth for out on our deck!
What have you been up to this April?
We’ve been enjoying lots of walks, trips to the dog parks, and playing outside!
I feel ya on the dentist! I also had lots of dental work done as a child but still feel nervous about going in!

Swooning over all the earrings! My boyfriend and his dad went to the Indy 500 last year and had so much fun! We’re off to the Kentucky Derby next weekend!
I’m wearing a pair of my Nickel & Suede earrings right now 😉 We’re excited for the Indy 500 – have fun next weekend at the Kentucky Derby, always looks SO FUN!

I always dread the dentist too. My daughter just had her 4 teeth pulled and braces put on! I had braces but didn’t have to have teeth pulled!

How fun that you’re coming up on your proposal anniversary. Sweet pic of you and your hubby! Love all those pics taken while out walking! Springtime walks are so wonderful!! I share your dental anxiety. I had to have four adult teeth taken out prior to having my braces put on for the same reason. Hope the appointment goes so smoothly for you!

Girl, I am right there with you on the dentist! I had to have a bunch of teeth pulled when I was little, but the dentist still never bothered me until I was an adult. I get so wound up about it! I was texting my husband in the waiting room before my appointment this week and he was making me laugh, which just made me look like a crazy person!
And those EARRINGS! I love them all!!
Gah, glad I’m not alone on the dentist lol! I’ve seriously contemplated how ridiculous I would look if I made my mom or husband go to my appointments with me HA!
YES, I am OBSESSED with Nickel & Suede! I bought my first pair in July and am already up to 9 pairs 🙂
