Happy Halloween from our sweet little hedgie!!
This week was spirit week at daycare, we loved getting to participate & dress Ronald up each day! Of course I had to snap a picture each morning before sending him off <3 Monday was pajama day, Tuesday Favorite Flannel, Wednesday Sports Day (we had to get creative with the clothes he has and went with motorsports), Thursday Costume Day for Halloween, and today is Character Day so we sent him off in a llama outfit!
I can’t wait to get Ro dressed in all of these buffalo plaid goodies!!!
Festive sugar cookies just felt right! I use my Gma’s recipe that hangs handy in our home and put half the dough in the freezer for next month 😉 I whipped up the dough Sunday night but didn’t get to baking & frosting them until Wednesday evening. Wasn’t my best frosting job but I was just looking to get the job done quickly & they still tasted DELICIOUS!

This fall started off a little rough with sickness taking out the whole family for what felt like a month! But very thankful it was never anything serious and we’re all feeling better now and for friends I’ve met through blogging that checked in on me while I briefly stopped posting <3
Thankful to spend time with family at the cider mill.
Thankful to get out & enjoy a beautiful day with my 2 best guys at the pumpkin patch and then farmer’s market!
Thankful to have spent a weekend participating in some trick or treating, where our hedgehog was so cute & scored us plenty of candy 😉
Thankful for all the fun little walks we’ve got out on as family this month.
Thankful to have had my in-laws up for a week & even capture some memories!
Thankful for my mama that comes to watch Ro on Fridays and make special memories with him, they started attending story time recently and have LOVED it!
On a related note, I grew up with my grandparents just a couple blocks away from us, we saw them nearly every single day. So I was a little sad at the thought that Ro wouldn’t have the same experience since my parents live a little over an hour away & my inlaws are out of state. But my mom has put those worries at bay for me with all the fun she packs in to their special Fridays! They are already making their own little memories and you can tell he loves her so much <3 She even took him to a follow up doctor’s appointment for us, I remember Papa & Gma always taking us to the dentist or other type of appointments too to help my parents out. Very very thankful to have great parents that are even better grandparents to our son on both sides of our family!!!

YES, he definitely looks like his mama! Actually he looks a lot like my Dad as a baby, so that is fun 😉
Does your son ever NOT have the sweetest smile on his face??? I just love it so much. Ella is so over that smiley phase and we are in a “annoyed, scowl phase” right now… Bring me back the smiley happy baby! Your little hedgehog was sweet and I am glad you got to take him out on Halloween!
Lol thanks, we’re definitely in that smiley happy baby phase, though of course he can have his moments! I’m sure we’ll be where you are soon enough.
