Ronald 18 Months.

A little post to document Ronald at 18 months! His stats were 24.5lbs and 32.5in, with a head circumference in the 95th percentile.

Words he says: Up, More, All Done, Open, Dada, Hot, Stuck, Hi, Buh-ByeSounds he makes: cow, cat, horse, rooster, Ka-Chow (Lightning McQueen), sheep, snake, bear/lion/tiger (all a roar)

He is such a little busy body! He goes from one thing to the next all day long, doing alllllll the things. He also really is in to repetitive activities, so he’ll open the door, carry something out & sit it in a specific spot, then return & close the door – repeat it over & over & over!!

His association skills are astounding! While reading a book, he might hone in on one word even if it isn’t the main point of the page which might trigger him to go find a toy or then also another different but related book…For example, while reading a book about animals he saw a donkey & went to another room to fetch his little donkey figurine which then prompted him to look through his bookcase for The Wonky Donkey book. Or while playing with lightning mcqueen he’ll be reminded of racecars & want to turn a race on TV which will remind him of his many hotwheels that he will race down his ramp.

His newest thing is telling you when something is hot, even though it is likely just warm, and then blowing on it to cool it down. It is the cutest thing!

Last week was my first week back on site to work which was also Ro’s first back to daycare after 5 months home together. He’s having a tough time transitioning right now, as we expected. If you could keep his tender heart in your thoughts & send a little love his way as we continue to navigate this transition my mama heart would so appreciate it!
