Last week marked 15 months old for Ronald so I thought I’d document a little update on him right now.
Last Friday for his well child appointment he weighed in at 24lbs & 31.25″ long, 68th percentile & 52nd percentile. As expected his head was in the 94th percentile at 19.25″ which was actually a little down from his usual above 97th percentile LOL!
Ro has 14 teeth with his top canine teeth having just broken through recently and actually in the last week one bottom one broke through with the other very close behind, so we’re at almost 16 teeth!
He just started taking some of his first steps on his own. It has to be completely on his own accord, we can’t try to force him to walk letting go of his hand otherwise he’ll lose his mind. But doing the most random things, usually when he is distracted & busy with another thought he’ll just take some steps on his own!
Ro can work a fork & spoon so well! He usually eats really well and we’ve stopped sharing food with him, rather just getting him his own because he’ll eat so much some times. His favorite breakfast is toasted o’s cereal (type of Cheerios) with cut up banana and he really loves ketchup! At meal times he will sign & say “All done” and “more” to let us know, though some times he will sign all done at the beginning of a meal but keep eating haha.
His true LOVE is Mouse from If You Give a Mouse A Cookie! We have several of the Mouse books and he loves having us read them over & over, there is also a show series on Amazon Prime Video that we watch occasionally and it totally captivates him. Of course he is also a big fan of chickens & cows. He will make the sounds for a rooster, cow, & bunny – we’ve ever heard them through the monitor first thing when he woke up before. Another favorite show of his is Octonauts on Netflix, this is also Dad’s favorite lol!
Ro can be such a little love giving generous hugs & kisses to us or his stuffed penguins & many of his toys. Though he can be a little spitfire sometimes too & quite demanding when he wants to walk around outside. He has no problem grabbing your hand & steering you where he would like to go or pointing if you are carrying him.
While the last few months working from home have truly been a challenge, I am incredibly grateful for this extra time with my family and the opportunity to watch Ro explode with all he is learning lately! We love our little man!

Oh my heart. Happy 15 months Ro! He is really “exploding” with new moves, thoughts, speech, growth. And he knows he is loved soooo much – that inspires his trust and confidence. Yay mom and dad!
If you want a good laugh, look up the “poem” titled “If You Give a Mom a Muffin” – it falls along the lines of the “If You Give a Mouse…” story
