Ronald 12 Months

One whole year of Ronald<3 Funny how it feels both like the last year went so quickly yet it still feels like we just brought him home yesterday! This past weekend we had a photo shoot with Lynzee Harrison Photography, our actual favorite.

In January we cut out the pacifier for during the day use with really no issue at all! He doesn’t use it for any naps at daycare but still does occasionally at home or if we need to get him to nap in the car and he does get it at bedtime too, I don’t mind too much because we’ve also seen him on the monitor put it back in his mouth in the early morning after it had fallen out in the night and then he’ll get himself back to sleep.

Ro has shown us a couple times that he can pull himself up to stand, as long as he gets a good hold on something! Actually the first time that we noticed he had done it we weren’t even watching him intently, I just happened to look back and was surprised to see him standing lol! He also has started walking along while holding on to something like our couch ottoman.

After thinking he might just skip crawling all together since he was not very interested Ro picked up crawling really quick once he actually got serious about it. A couple weekends ago he was kind of getting the hang of it and then one day after daycare, BAM, he was on the move! He still would prefer to point & yell for you to either move him where he would like to or bring what he wants to him though haha! We’ve been showing him by placing him in the crawling position that he can get himself to many places…and now this week he discovered where the dogs water bowls are and enjoys taking a mini bath all by himself 😉

He has EIGHT teeth after it was just 7 for quite some time. He actually got number 8 without us noticing lol…just over the weekend my husband saw a molar hiding out back in his mouth. Ro has done that a couple times now with not showing a whole lot of signs of teething and then a tooth just appears!

He is getting more vocal with babbling, screeching, sometimes yelling (when it comes to wanting more ketchup with his dinner), and even came home from daycare last week roaring like a dinosaur. And Ronald enjoys trying to play with the beagle boys, he’ll grab Hal’s spiky ball and hold it out for him and he especially gets excited when Hank gets going crazy with howling & running around!
