The last month of reading was full of audiobooks for me! I am reading a couple pregnancy/childbirth physical books too in the meantime but below are the books I’ve read for fun in the last month and I’d highly recommend very single one!!!
Blog reader Laurie suggested this one to me in the comments of one of my posts and when I saw it was available on audio from my library I quickly checked it out since I was waiting on other audio books to become available! I really enjoyed this one! Its not a super lighthearted read but I wouldn’t say it is hard or dark either, just a good mix in the story line. I thought the characters were really unique too. This one is about losing yourself but then finding you again, there is tragedy but oh is there LOVE & friendship too!
This was another one that I quick picked up on audio while waiting for the last two books below. I read Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us last year and it honestly still is one of my favorite books! I’d say this one ranks up there too. This one is hard just because there were times I wanted to yell at each character because of how dumb or silly they were being, but at the same time I was like yep, we’ve all been there. The story is about a couple, closely following their relationship of how it developed & now watching their marriage fall apart.
This quote was my favorite because it sums up marriage pretty well.
“What’s the secret to a perfect marriage?’
‘Our marriage hasn’t been perfect. No marriage is perfect. There were times when she gave up on us. There were even more times when I gave up on us. The secret to our longevity is that we never gave up at the same time.”

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before & P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
I watched the Netflix movie, which is the same as the first book, about a month ago and LOVED it! This is a sweet & overly cheesy teenage story of Lara Jean. She writes love letters to each of her crushes instead of admitting she liked them & kept them for herself in a box. Of course until they get mailed without her knowledge & she has to figure out how to deal with all these boys of her past. This brought back all the warm fuzzies of young love, had me laughing, and was just an easy going story. I listened to both of these on audio & am awaiting the third one from my library!

I still need to watch To All The Boys I Loved Before. I used to enjoy Debbie Macomber but haven’t read any in awhile! And I feel like Colleen Hoover’s books are all very similar to one another, but she is a good writer!

Happy Monday Rechelle, and I hope you had a good weekend. I’m glad you enjoyed The Cottage by the Sea. I need to get back into my reading whether paper book or via kindle. I’m being distracted by the new tv season AND Hallmark’s upcoming Christmas movies! On 2 different channels! Have a great week.

Hi Laurie, I hope you enjoyed your weekend too! A plus about us canceling all our TV channels over a year ago is that I read so much more now 😉 but I definitely miss out on all those Hallmark movies!

These look terrific. My grandma is the biggest Debbie Macomber fan and constantly reads her book. I’ll see if she’s read this one. I have the Jenny Han book on my list!

That is too funny about your Grandma loving Debbie Macomber, the 2 books I’ve read of hers have been good!
