Today I am posting to join Holly for Monthly Musings, this month talking about all things Halloween which is my FAVORITE!
Favorite Fall Tradition?
Going to a pumpkin patch and/or an apple orchard and getting donuts & cider!
Favorite Halloween Tradition?
Trick or treating of course 😉 I always enjoyed a fun Halloween party growing up too! Sometimes we hosted or sometimes we’d go to a friends, I loved the festive games & music plus another opportunity to dress in our costumes. Now my fave is pulling out the Halloween decor & making our home festive!
What will Halloween look like this year for your family?
I am not entirely sure yet, honestly we need to get on deciding a costume for Ro too! Hope we can get out for a little trick or treating with Ro.
Share your favorite Fall recipe.
Pumpkin whoopie pies or hot cocoa cupcakes. We also love goulash & chili in the fall but I just toss things in to make those without following any recipe.
Favorite Fall fashion staples?
My Cheetah or Camo N&S earrings, ankle booties, and anything plaid.
Favorite Halloween costume?
Well I loved our tiny hedgie last year 😉 A few years ago Ron & I dressed as Charlie Brown & Lucy with the beags as Snoopy complete with woodstock of course! Some favorites that come to mind from my childhood are when I was a glam butterfly & wore sparkly wings with black turtleneck & pants and my mom painted glitter on my face – my sister was a glam ladybug that year 😉
Favorite Halloween candy?
My fave candy is always 3 Musketeers! Around fall I also enjoy caramels and year round I like to make sure we always have milk chocolate & peanut M&Ms in the house so I can indulge in a small handful each day after work lol.
Favorite family Halloween movie?
Hocus Pocus forever! We also love It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
Scary movies, yes or no?
Hard pass lol. I could not even tell you the last time I watched a scary movie, really we hardly ever watch movies these days.
Favorite Fall beverage?
Apple Cider. I prefer cold though & to dunk a donut in it, YUM!

My kids are 9 & 11 and I’m having a hard time getting motivated about their costumes — it all just feels so up in the air this year. Ugh. Hopefully our kids get to dress up at the very least.
