At the end of each month I like to review the books I’ve read for the month. You can see what I’ve read in previous months here. Or follow along with me on GoodReads! I set a goal to read 30 books this year, so an average of 2.5 per month, and I’ve been rolling along at 3 books per month and am already halfway to my goal and not yet halfway through the year! I know these summer months get busy and I’ll spend more time outside which is why I chose to go with the 2.5 average.
This month I started with Liane Moriarty’s The Husband’s Secret. I’ve read a couple other of Liane’s books and enjoy them, this was no exception. There were a lot of characters and at first it took me a while to keep them all straight but I LOVED the dynamic it added to the story!
This was a story about many family stories and how they were all kind of intertwined. It really made me think of all ways other people’s lives are intertwined with mine that I may not even know or realize. There was great suspense and twists & turns that I didn’t expect. The epilogue really tied it all together and wrapped it up perfectly too! Basically we will never know what could have been in any of our lives, this whole book was based on simply forgetting a doctor’s appointment…
Next I moved on to Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan. I wasn’t certain about this book in the first few pages but things turned out to be a fun little read. Quite different writing style than most books I’ve read before but so very sweet! I’m not quite done with this one but will be before the end of the month 🙂
I’ve already got on book picked out for next month. What are you reading that I should add to my list?
