Another monthly link up with Shay & Erika, sharing my favorite shows to binge watch! We actually don’t watch much TV in our house to be honest. We cut cable a few years ago so we just have local channels that we can get with a basic antenna, plus of course Netflix. We really only use our TV for gaming (my husband) & to watch racing (Formula1, Indycar, Nascar, IMSA, etc). Otherwise we subscribe to quite a few YouTube channels. I thought it would be hard to let go of cable TV but within a couple months I was over it and I think we’re more productive at home because of it. Anyway on to shows that I have loved to binge!
Parks & Rec – We watched this one together a few years ago and went through it pretty quick! Still make so many references to it often in daily life and when we need a good laugh or to kill a little time we’ll put on some Parks & Rec. The episodes are short and the humor is great! Also the gag reels you can find on YouTube are pretty great too ๐
Gilmore Girls – Who doesn’t love this show?!? Always a goodie! The Gilmore women are powerful & funny too. This is a show that will make you feel all the feels – you’ll laugh, cry, warm your heart, relate, and just generally feel good after watching it<3
The Bold Type – I love these women in this show! I feel it is easy to connect with the things happening, it is fun, it makes you laugh & cry a little too. It is about 3 women that are best friends and work together in various positions at a magazine similar to that of Cosmo, the show addresses a lot of current mainstream hot topics too. I always just feel like GIRL POWER after watching this show.
Peaky Blinders – Ron & I have LOVED watching this show together! My only complaint is that it is a BBC show so it takes a bit of time for the seasons to come to Netflix lol. But once they do hit Netflix we very quickly binge them and then we’re sad again that it is over and we have to wait another year or more. Peaky Blinders takes place in Britain after the Great War and is all about one of the most powerful gangs in Birmingham.
Call the Midwife – I haven’t kept up as much with the last couple seasons but this is always a good go to for me when I’m looking for something that will be touching. It was also pretty empowering for me while pregnant as it takes place in London in the 50s/60s and of course is about women giving birth.
Workin’ Moms – While on maternity leave I binged this show, SO relatable & SO funny! I recently caught up on season 2 and season 3 will be added by the end of this month. The episodes are short so it is easy to quickly binge through the series.
