Let’s Look: Coffee Bar Area

Joining Shay & Erika to kick off a new year with their Let’s Look linkup, sharing our “Coffee Bar Area” today & the first real peek at our new home!

Our kitchen was a recent project that the previous homeowners had completed and definitely a favorite spot in the house. We have concrete countertops & open upper shelving both of which so far we love. The open shelving does cut down on our kitchen storage space (we don’t have a pantry, just a plan to add a very small one hopefully soon) but I do appreciate that it forced us to cut down on all the cups, mugs, glasses, and other miscellaneous kitchenware to only keep what we really need!

I’m not a coffee drinker but my husband is. He grinds the beans, boils water, and makes his coffee every single morning using his mini french press. He usually makes another cup later in the day and we have a larger french press for times when we have guests & need to make more coffee. He drinks his coffee black so we don’t need much in this area!

Also in the same space, my mom set up a cute little area for our alcoholic beverages & things! I haven’t quite worked out exactly how I want to decorate & style these shelves, still playing around and it will certainly be fun to mix up throughout the year for seasons & holidays.

On the other side of the range we have all our dishes, Ro’s dishes, mugs, & appliances, etc. The mugs look spare because most were in the dishwasher after a weekend of tea, coffee, and of course hot cocoa 😉
