What we’re eating this week…
Sunday night I made a big pot of Goulash, a favorite of my husbands, which worked out perfectly since we got hit with a bunch of snow on Monday so it made for good leftovers too! Otherwise keeping the menu simple with things like chicken quesadillas and tortellini.
What I’m reminiscing about…
All the things we were doing this time last year & how very different things are looking now 😉
What I’m loving…
Honestly, I’ve been living a treat yo self lifestyle lol so I bought some pre-packaged cookie dough while grocery shopping and I am LOVING having a warm chocolate chip cookie from the oven each night this week!! #MyDueDateWasYesterday #AndBabyStillIsn’tHere
What we’ve been up to…
Nesting – cleaning house, finishing projects, all the things! But also a lot of just relaxing too, the last several weekends we’ve taken Saturday to just be lazy and then do a few productive things on Sunday before we just lounge again 😉
What I’m dreading…
Honestly, the lack of sleep that is on the horizon lol. I have slept SO well throughout pregnancy with very few bad nights, so it’s going to be a rough change of sleepless nights when baby does decide to arrive.
What I’m working on…
Patience. Our due date was yesterday and we’re still waiting on babe. I know the date is just estimated and he will arrive in perfect time, but that is definitely easier said than done lol
What I’m excited about…
Can’t you tell!? We’re excited for Baby M!!!
What I’m watching/reading…
I’ve been reading all things baby of course. But I also tried to make time for some leisure reading recently with a book I picked for free from Amazon First Reads, a perk of Amazon Prime! And I am still keeping up with Grey’s Anatomy this season.
What I’m listening to…
Ron received a record player for Christmas and we’re enjoying listening to some of our favorites on vinyl now 🙂
What I’m wearing…
What I’m doing this weekend…
Maybe Baby M will be joining us or maybe we’ll just enjoy another quiet weekend at home!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
ALLLL the baby snuggles!
What else is new…
My husband hit up Trader Joe’s & Whole Foods last week to stock up on our favorites – he impulse purchased these cookies and we LOVE them!!! So good on their own, paired with coffee/hot cocoa, served with ice cream YUM YUM YUM!
Bonus Question: What’s your favorite family Valentine’s tradition?
We usually keep Valentine’s Day pretty low key around here but I do LOVE decorating our home and making something festive, usually I’ll jazz up our cinnamon rolls (from a can) by shaping them into hearts and adding food coloring to the icing <3

Those cinnamon rolls have my mouth watering! I love all the coziness in this post- thinking of you Mama XO

Thanks Holly! 🙂

Loved reading what’s up at the M household. Baby will be here soon… in God’s perfect time… baby just doesn’t want to enter into the cold weather as you’re so warm and snuggly. ☺️ Grab all the rest you can! Hugs from CA
Rechelle says
Yes he will and I’m okay waiting it out through these negative temps too! 😉

You enjoy those cookies! I remember waiting impatiently for two of my kids to arrive – the other was 2 weeks early!
Rechelle says
Lol thanks Dara, I am! 😉 The wait can be so hard!

What a sweet hubby to make a TJ’s trip!!!! I would have such a hard time being patient but it’s great you’re getting all the rest you can 🙂 Look like you may have a February baby- which is the best month to have a birthday in my opinion! 😉
Rechelle says
It is definitely hard to practice patience! I always kind of figured he would likely be a February baby being so close to the end of January but this waiting is HARD lol 😉
