Today I am linking up with Shay & Erika for a new series called How We Wednesdays, sharing all about how we do different things. Of course for January we are starting off with goals & resolutions!
I prefer to set goals versus resolutions. Honestly, mostly because I think its more of a mental thing – resolutions to me imply that something is bad and I need to fix it, a little negative connotation I suppose. While goals are about improving myself, a more positive take on life. You can head here to see my goals from 2017 and last week I did a little check in on how those goals went.
My 2018 Goals:
Read – Since I finished last year with 32 books read, I’m setting my goal this year for just a couple more, I’d like to read 36 books and I want to challenge myself to reading a couple books from genres I don’t normally pick up (I’m off to a good start thanks to a recommendation from my SIL). I read a thriller/mystery novel in November and LOVED it, which was totally out of my norm, so I’d like to maybe try a few more of those.
Project 52 – Last year this was a successful one for me and I didn’t even really make it one of my goals. I documented and created a layout for every week of our year in 2017 using Project Life App so that it could be printed and turned into a book of memories. I want to keep up with it again this year but up my game a little bit, I’d like to try to take more pictures. There were some weeks last year when I had to really scrounge around for some pictures or take a bunch on the last day of the week to have something to use. This year I’d like to be better about snapping a couple photos every day, even if they aren’t anything special and are just our daily lives because those are usually my favorite anyway.
Bake Bread – This one is a little random but something I’d like to challenge myself to do! I’d like to explore the ways of bread making and try it out for myself, really just for fun! I baked my first loaf over the weekend and can’t wait to try more 🙂
Do you set goals or resolutions? How are you bettering yourself this year?

Happy New Year (10 days late), Rochelle! I’d love to try making yeast bread (I’ve made the quick breads – banana, blueberry, etc). For some reason I’m terrified of working with yeast – I think i’ll kill the poor yeast before it even gets blooming!
Your coloring cards… so cool! One of my goals is to send a snail mail greeting every other week – personally I’d love to get mail that not a bill or an advertisement!
Have a great day!

Happy New Year to you as well Laurie! Making bread makes me a little nervous too but I’m excited for the challenge 😉
I LOVE MAIL TOO! Here is to hoping you get some fun, happy snail mail yourself!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
