Hello there friends, HELLO Monday, linking up with Heather from My Glittery Heart! Here is peek at what our weekend looked like (sorry I don’t have a lot of applicable pictures, but we were enjoying time with one another)…On Thursday, Ron went karting after work with friends/co-workers so I took advantage of the night by prepping ahead, making both Mexican Gumbo & Black Bean Soup. Which meant we didn’t have to cook dinner Friday night, yes ma’am I am all for that!
We’ve been grocery shopping on Saturday mornings the last couple weeks versus on Sunday mornings just because we’ve usually got things going on on Sunday which was the case again this week. After grocery shopping I set out for some shopping at Target 😉 I hadn’t gone in about a month so I was definitely due, right?! I found lots of clearance clothes from the Knox Rose line and some E.L.F. clearance make-up too !
On Sunday we had some friends over, not for the super bowl (we’re not really football fans), but to help put the motor back in the Vette. Last weekend Ron figured out & solved the oil pressure issue t was having, so he was ready to get the car put back together to confirm everything.
While the guys worked in the garage us girls hung out inside. We put together a nice little meal and even baked/frosted some cookies! I used my Gma’s recipe for the cookies and just a traditional icing. I think most people (I know I’m one of them) think of cut out sugar cookies as Christmas cookies but at Christmas this year I thought the heck with that! I’d really been wanting to make more since, so I made a big batch of dough and just froze it to pull out next month for St. Patrick’s day too 😉
It was pretty cold and snowy this weekend which did not make for happy beags. So we had to make up for being stuck inside with a new toy & some treats, these two keep us in check around here!

Happy Monday Rechelle… Love the pic of one of your dogs, the Snoopy blanket and the hound pillow. So cute! Good for you on all the cooking. I did full dinners Sat and Sun, and now we have leftovers for the first half of the weeks – yes! We are having a warm winter spell in SF Bay Area, CA (we were 80 degrees Sat and 73 on Sun — pant, pant). Hope you have a great week~~~
