Oh Monday, why do you always come too soon!? We had the best weekend with my family in my hometown! (I also did a horrible job at taking pictures, but that is okay because I was present with my fam) Linking up for Hello Monday with Heather!
On Saturday I woke up and made Irish Soda Bread & Corned Beef and Cabbage, YUM! It all turned out so well.
Of course we all donned our green for St. Patrick’s Day as we certainly didn’t want to get pinched. I’d actually been wearing green all week π I mentioned on my Friday Faves post that my hometown is a teeny tiny Irish village in Michigan, we actually have the oldest recurring bar license in the state! My parents home is right at the heart of the town and so of course we walked down to the bar early as that place gets crowded fast! We got to see the Irish dancers! I was in this same troupe from about 3rd grade up until I graduated H.S. – definitely something I miss participating in. Of course there was a parade too!
A big highlight for me was getting to see this little lady, I taught dance to wee ones when I was in high school and little Kelly here was 4 years old! She is now 15 & a freshman in HS! I couldn’t believe it, very rewarding to see some of the girls that I taught to dance were still dancing and loving it!
Sunday was slow going as you might imagine from all the festivities and this is what we looked like on the way back home lol
I always say that my home is wherever my people are but it was nice to be at my original home this weekend too! π

Happy Monday, Rechelle! Another blogger wrote that we need a day between Saturday and Sunday… LOL. Your food looks DELICIOUS! Your hometown looks great – in green. I was in a city called Dublin for part of Saturday – attending a dance recital. There was a parade/festival on the opposite side of the town.
