Hello Friends, I hope you had the happiest Easter!! I’m winding down our holiday weekend for you here today and linking up for Hello Monday 😉
My parents & sister came over to our house for the weekend on Friday, while it was chilly we did take advantage of the sunshine and got the dogs out for a nice walk.
Saturday we did a little thrift/antique shopping in our favorite little town of Holly. We also settled in for the afternoon/evening and watched Flint Town on Netflix – it was really good! My husband and I went to college in Flint & lived there for just over 4 years, while we certainly were not in a bad area of town at all there were moments where we were exposed to the realities of Flint – like the time Ron’s car was broken into and almost all his belongings were stolen but THANKFULLY recovered by the police. We love Flint, we’ll always stand up for that city when others try to bad mouth it, and I think it will always kind of feel like home but I do think this series on Netflix helps shed some light for outsiders to better understand the situation plaguing the area and hopefully even motivate some people to help.
Sunday afternoon/evening my husband and I had a really great time playing a couple games of Yahtzee & Uno! He was battling a small cold and was just feeling restless from sitting on the couch & watching a screen so it was a really good way to engage a little more and we had a lot of fun 🙂
For our Easter dinner with my family I made this Beef Pot Pie again with some roasted veggies – YUM!!!!!! I love having my family over and getting to spend more time together <3
The Easter Beagle treated Hank & Hal to treats, chews, and a couple couch paw-tato toys 😉 I’ve been buying toys recently from BarkShop when they have sales (there was 50% during halftime of the Superbowl!!!) and the toys and socute, really funny, and the dogs LOVE them (seriously Hal cannot get enough and Hank has actually become interested in toys again). Some of their toys have recently become available at Target too!
