Today I am joining the link up with Heather @ My Glittery Heart for Hello Monday ๐ So welcome, browse around and I’ll show you what our weekend looked like!
ย
On Friday we enjoyed another HelloFresh meal! I’ve been really impressed with how easy, convenient, and tasty these meals have been. We got our last shipment in yesterday and will be enjoying our final meals with HelloFresh – we loved the experience and I would totally recommend them if you find meal planning or grocery shopping difficult (use our link for $40 off your first week), but I totally enjoy doing both of those things! ๐
ย
Saturday was grocery shopping and catching up around the house, taking things easy. We did get out for our first family walk of the year finally too!
ย
On Saturday my husband’s first Stitch Fix arrived – I signed him up for a subscription as a surprise so it was really fun to watch him open it up! Ron has mentioned a few times over the last year or so that he would like to up his fashion a little and add some new pieces to his wardrobe, however I don’t think either of us really knew where to start. Plus making the time to go shopping for unspecific items was just never a priority. SO I had the idea a couple weeks ago to surprise him with Stitch Fix & IT WAS SO MUCH FUN, for both of us! It came with all the cost/item details as well as some styling tips for each piece.
He received a button up, polo, sweater, belt, & chinos. The polo was the only real miss as he doesn’t wear a lot of polos. The olive chinos were awesome as I don’t think either of us would have ever thought to pick them up, though Ron couldn’t justify them for the price (I could lol). And the sweater while it fit him really well and looked excellent on him was over $100, so that was a pretty quick no from both of us haha!
ย
The button up was love as first sight and definitely a keeper! We both also really liked the belt so that item stayed too! I can’t wait to see his future boxes & was totally impressed with the service. Ron was able to provide lots of feedback on all of the items so his stylist can curate an even better box next time, he was even able to request things as well. If you’re looking to add some unique high quality pieces or don’t like shopping, I’d recommend checking out Stitch Fix, I also think it would make a great gift – Valentine’s Day is coming up (if you use our link your first $20 styling fee is waived, which is what I did since my sister referred us)! ๐
ย
Saturday evening we met up with some friends to check out a new place called Round One – similar to Dave & Busters in which there were just tons of arcade games, bowling, darts, pool, etc. It was really busy but we still had a TON OF FUN!
ย
Sunday we headed down to Detroit to check out the auto show! Ron & I have gone together every year since college with the exception of last year I think because he just went on a work day as part of work.ย I always enjoying checking things out even if I’m not SUPER into cars – don’t get me wrong though, as a wife of a mechanical engineer working in the auto industry & a big car guy himself, I do like to look at all the new cars. Somehow I totally failed to take any pictures to document our morning/afternoon – oops! But Sunday afternoon/evening was spent just soaking time with these 2 beags & I was sandwiched by them as I wrote this ๐

My husband would definitely not be into getting a Stitch Fix box and I’m always impressed when guys do so!

My husband would have never gotten Stitch Fix on his own either, which is why it ended up being such a good gift idea!
