Today I’m checking in on my goals from 2018 and setting new ones for 2019!
2018 Goals:
Read 36 books – I read 50 books last year! I large chunk of that was thanks to the discovery of audiobooks and I’m hopeful that discovery will carry me through a successful reading year in 2019 even with the addition of Baby M!
Project 52 – I set a goal to take more pictures weekly, I’m sure I could probably still improve on this but I’m really happy with how successful I’ve been with Project 52 and plan to continue with it. Sometimes I forget to take pictures but I think it’s more because I’m truly cherishing the time I’m spending with friends/family. I can’t wait to get our 2018 Family yearbook printed, see ours from 2017 here & how I do memory keeping for our fam.
Bake bread – I started off real strong on this one and then once summer came it was just too hot to bake plus who really wants all that bread in the heat of summer. I really enjoyed the various breads I made and will definitely continue pursuing more.
Spread Kindness – Another one that I started off strong & then fizzled out. I was sending little notecards to random people to bring a little joy to their day. I do think I still keep kindness at the forefront of my mind though!
2019 Goals:
Have a baby & keep him alive 😉 I’m not looking to be super mom just planning to survive & hopefully by the end of the year fall into a rhythm & really start thriving! It is all about giving myself grace & having patience, which thankfully to our beagles I think I’m actually already pretty good at that!
Read 36 books – Even though I read 50 books last year I’m being realistic that that may not happen again this year, I’m still hopeful though that with audiobooks I’ll be able to keep up with averaging 3 books a month.
Fitness Routine – My husband & I had gotten in to a pretty good fitness routine the first half of the year and then we both got sick back to back over the course of a month which just really threw us off, well then I also was pregnant with Baby M and all focus went to preparing for baby. This goal isn’t about losing weight, it’s all about being healthy & active! I just want to find a routine that works for me and stick with it for the year.
We’ve got a big year ahead of us, learning all the baby things, so there isn’t much pressure on these goals thus why I kept them pretty simple. CHEERS to 2019!!!

Happy New Year Rechelle! I love that you are being realistic about this year and practicing giving yourself grace- that’s the way to do it! This is going to be a wonderful year for you- so excited to see your Baby Boy when he arrives!
Rechelle says
Thanks Holly, we can’t wait either!!

Happy New Year to you and your family! like Holly said in her comment, it’s great that you’re setting realistic/practical goals this year. A baby changes everything – be gentle on yourself. And you will be learning a new language too… baby !
Rechelle says
Yes, a new language! Thank you Laurie 🙂

You did great at your goals. I love the kindness one and it’s also something I’d like to concentrate on this year. I found a 30 day kindness challenge that I might try!
Rechelle says
Thanks Dara, love that kindness challenge idea!
Shannon says
Great goals! I love how you are able to compile all of your photos and memories into books for each year. I wish I had started that!

Never too late to start, Project Life makes it so easy! 😉
