Hey friends! Quick little garden update post from me today but something that I at least wanted to document. I have a lot of people ask me for advice about gardening or tell me they are impressed with my gardening skills…but I’m here to share honesty and I don’t really have a clue what I’m doing I just let things grow for the most part & hope for the best lol!
My parents came and helped me get my garden in order and planted earlier this year, while I didn’t know it yet I was actually pregnant and very quickly didn’t have the energy and motivation to keep up on it. So it’s a little unruly and quite frankly a mess! But it’s my mess and I love it nonetheless 🙂
I’ve been much more energetic & motivated the last couple weeks but still slightly overwhelmed by all the weeds that are growing. But honestly things are growing well! I’ve harvested lettuce & the squash is growing like crazy just like last year.
When I open the garden gate Hank is quick to help himself to green beans! We’ve got peas ready as well.
Potato plant have started dying back which may seem counter intuitive but really that means the potatoes will soon be ready to harvest and we’ve got an abundance!
Hopefully this fall we can really clean the space up again, get rid of all the weeds, and prepare for an improved garden next year. Even still I’m loving this mess of a garden this year because it still brings a smile to my face 😉

Gardens are a labor of love aren’t they? Your garden is doing well… unfortunately when you water the garden you water weeds… I have flowers in the front and a vegetable bed and fruit trees in the back. All need attention. Don’t turn your back on the squash! They grow fast! Enjoy the “fruits”of your labors…
