Linking up to share a few favorites this week plus our 2019 year in review!
We discovered that Ro’s FAVORITE animal is penguins! So naturally adding a 2ft penguin to our pack made sense, lol. His face lights up when he sees Empanada!
On Monday afternoon my Dad let us know that he had a back haul to deliver just up the road from us, he kept us updated on when he’d be arriving and we made an exception to let Ro stay up past bedtime so we could go see Grandpa & his rig!! It was a fun little treat for us all 🙂
Now for a little recap of some of my favorite moments from 2019!
January – We had everything all ready for Baby M and were left waiting on him a littler longer 😉
February – On the 11th we finally welcomed Ronald IV in to our family! February was a blur of sleeplessness & love!
March – We got outside a bit this months for a couple walks, celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, and attended a bridal shower for a bestie of mine.
April – We continued with family walks, I got away for a weekend bachelorette in Florida while all the boys held down the fort together at home (Dad did GREAT on his own), we celebrated Easter, and attended the wedding of a bestie of mine.
May – We enjoyed the last couple days of maternity leave, then I headed back to work while Ro started daycare, my boys loved on me for Mother’s Day, we spent a few weekends at Grandma & Grandpa’s attending a baby shower for our cousin and then another weekend for Memorial Day and finally one more for a graduation party for another cousin.
June – Ro’s personality really started coming out and he gave us lots of smiles, we went to the first food truck festival of the summer season in town, we went to our first Tigers game to celebrate all the Dads for Father’s Day, and we even got a little swim in.
July – I donated 18 inches of my hair, we celebrated 4th of July at home together, made our first library trip, Ronald enjoyed a little taste of his first food of mashed potatoes and then a while later avocado, our garden grew, we celebrated birthdays, and attended another Tigers game.
August – We had a play date, enjoyed time out on our deck, mealtimes started getting real fun, and made a trip to visit our new cousin Gemma.
September – We celebrated our 5th Anniversary with a trip to Nashville while Ro stayed back with Grandma & Grandpa, enjoyed as much of summer that remained, went to a house warming for friends, and made a trip to the cider mill.
October – Attended a bachelorette weekend for a bestie while the boys held their own again, enjoyed our time with family from Arizona & had pictures taken, went to the pumpkin patch, got daycare pictures taken LOL, did some trick or treating.
November – Visited the chickens at Grandma & Grandpa’s to see their home decked out for Christmas, enjoyed Thanksgiving, and fell in love with twinkle lights.
December – Our elf on the shelf, Darby, arrived to kick off the month with a North Pole breakfast, we wore allllll the festive clothes we could, we enjoyed an early Christmas with the Ewalt side of the family, then we flew to Arizona for Christmas with the Morris family, rounding out the month with my besties wedding.
Looking forward to 2020 and all the favorites it will bring!

Oh what a year! I’m so glad I got to “go on the ride” with you via your posts/picture. Can’t believe Ro is 11 months old. Is he walking yet? Have you gotten him a penguin hat yet? I saw a few cute ones online.
Loved seeing your dad’s truck, and time spent with Grandpa is always cherished.
Have a great weekend, stay warm, please give Hal and Hank some ear scritches for me!

Thank you Laurie, glad to have you here! He’s not walking just yet, which I’m totally fine with lol because I know once he does it’s game over with the house being put together 😉 We did just get a penguin hat with little feet on the bottom of the bill!!
Definitely staying warm this weekend & giving the beags alllllll the scritches as we’ve got an ice storm headed our way.
