Friday Favorites & Growing in Gratitude

September 28, 2018 by Rechelle 8 Comments

Happy Friday friends! As usual, I am linking up with Andrea, Erika, & Narci to share my favorites from the week 🙂
Project 52, week 38
I somehow missed sharing these photos from earlier this month meeting up with my family for lunch one weekend while my husband was away for work!
On Wednesday our Corvette turned 50 years old so we celebrated by taking it out for ice cream 😉

My gratitude list with Julie for this month 🙂
1. We are so very thankful that we got to see our teeny (but growing!) baby boy this month!
2. I am incredibly grateful for a husband that took such good care of me while I had a cold!
3. I am thankful for the help in getting the last of our garden harvested & cleaned up a little bit.
4. While my husband did travel for work and was gone for 8 days, I am very grateful that travel is not a very regular part of his job because him being gone is HARD!
5. Always thankful for celebrating another year of marriage this month!
Time for another week of Bumpdates! See weeks 15&16 here, 17&18 here, and 19&20 here.

How far along: 21 Weeks, due January 29th

size of baby: Baby Bok Choy
Gender: BOY!!!
Weight Gain: I’d guess about 5lbs
Maternity Clothes: LOVE my maternity jeans so far!
Nursery: Still just painted but we’ve got lots of ideas
Movement: Feeling more & more, especially at night
Symptoms: I’m finding that I sleep best on my back but I just prop myself up in more of a sitting position and honestly I am sleeping so well these days – definitely not taking that luxury for granted since I now time will expire soon!
Cravings: none
What I miss: I was cleaning out the fridge and dumped a couple old Budweiser’s down the sink and thought OH man I could REALLY go for a beer right now lol! I don’t think I’ve ever craved beer, especially Bud but smelling it definitely struck me haha
Best moment this week: Meeting up with family for lunch and getting together with a few friends for a bonfire.
Looking forward to: Ronald returning home from a work trip!

How far along: 22 Weeks, due January 29th

Size of baby: Corn on the Cob
Gender: BOY!!!
Weight Gain: I’m guessing about 5lbs, but won’t weigh in until my appt next week
Maternity Clothes: Ordered a couple maternity dresses & am excited to style them for fall/winter
Nursery: We cleared out everything leftover from painting and can’t wait to fill the room!
Movement: Ron felt baby move this week!!! The movements are just weird & hard to explain but the more I feel them the more I smile
Symptoms: a tiny bit of heartburn is making a little bit of a return :\
Cravings: none
What I miss: My back not hurting. I’m not in terrible pain but I notice my back aching sooner or more often when I stand for too long.
Best moment this week: Getting to see Baby M. at our anatomy scan!!!
Looking forward to: Preparing our nursery & getting ready for our baby shower

Happy Friday pretty mama! Love watching your little boy grow from the outside. Hope the beagle boys are well. My dog “met” a skunk last Friday night – guess who dominated the meeting… Still a bit skunky here in the house and on her face. Hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks Laurie! OH NO about your dog getting into a scuff with a skunk last night…just about a year ago we had that run in with our dogs too, yikes! Enjoy your weekend 🙂

8 days is a long time for your husband to be gone! Mine is away now but it was only 2.5 days! And I hate when he travels!
