Cheers to another Friday, we’re getting closer to Christmas friends ๐ I am linking up with Andrea, Erika, & Narci to share my favorites this week.

Project 52, week 48

On Wednesday I shared a huge post full of Christmas decor inspo from my family members – each sharing a peek into their homes decorated for the holidays!

It has been hovering right around 32 degrees here this week, COLD! But one night when I got home from work there was still a little daylight and the weather wasn’t windy or rainy, so of course Hank begged to go out for a walk and I obliged! Got a little cold towards the end but it did feel good to get out for a bit ๐

Today wraps up Crohn’s & Colitis Awareness Week! A week designed to bring together the IBD community around a shared goalโto raise awareness and educate the public about IBD. Last year throughout the week I shared interviews with my family members on the topic of Crohn’s disease. My mom was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease over 20 years ago, you can read the interview I shared with her last December here. My Dad has been with my mom since before she was diagnosed, you can read the honest interview I shared from him here. Finally, my younger sister was diagnosed almost 5 years ago now with Crohn’s, read my interview with her here.

I’ve also got 2 weeks of bumpdates for you! We typically take my bump pictures on Tuesdays since that is when we start the count for the next week of this pregnancy, but these 2 weeks were a challenge as it’s nearly dark when we get home from work!

How far along: 31 Weeks, Due January 29th
Size of baby: Asparagus? The sizes in my app vary and I’m not so sure about them but they are fun to check each week.
Gender: BOY
Weight Gain: —
Maternity Clothes: I now only wear nursing/maternity bras, I wore a regular bra one day and regretted it just a couple hours into the work day.
Nursery: Took advantage of Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals to cross off many of the remaining items on our list!
Movement: SO MUCH MOVEMENT! He’s always on my right side but did venture over to the left to explore a bit the other night, HA!
Symptoms: I think Baby M might be having a growth spurt because I can’t seem to eat enough or sleep enough this week.
Cravings: So I think I’ve maybe discovered a small craving for soft pretzels. I’ve always been a pretzel fan though.
What I miss: I saw someone eating a cold cut deli sandwich & that was when I realize I miss them lol!
Best moment this week:THANKSGIVING!
Looking forward to: Christmas! Celebrating Thanksgiving has me all ready for the holiday season, just hoping it doesn’t go by too quick so we can enjoy the last of our time before Baby M arrives ๐

How far along: 32 Weeks
Size of baby: Napa Cabbage
Gender: Boy
Weight Gain: 2.3lbs since my last appointment, 16lbs overall
Maternity Clothes: I bought myself some new comfy cozy sweats/sweater that I think will be for these last 2 months but also perfect for postpartum & nursing.
Nursery: Still been getting all the remaining stuff we ordered online over the holiday so that we can really work on finishing things up!
Movement: At my appointment this week the midwife confirmed he was headdown and that the pushing on feel on my right side is in fact his booty, so I’ve been giving him a pat on the butt when he does stick it out the right side of my belly lol
Symptoms: Starting to get more of an achey back & getting comfortable at bedtime can be a struggle, however once I’m asleep its no problem, still sleeping very soundly!
Cravings: This week I bought us a gallon of chocolate milk, well because I can, it sounded good, & I’m the main grocery shopper for us HA!
What I miss: I miss bending at the waist not being a struggle lol, I can still bend down to reach things but not usually without some groaning.
Best moment this week: Having another OB check & getting to hear that heartbeat <3
Looking forward to: Christmas break!!! ๐

Your dog is still getting in those pictures! How cute!
Yes, Hal joined in this week actually since Hank was running around the yard ๐
Happy Friday! Itโs been quite a week, mainly at work, but also personally. Looking forward to the weekend. I enjoy your bump updates, esp the bit about your sonโs butt being on your right side and giving him a pat there. Glad he has โgotten into position โ to enter the world… not too much longer. Have a great weekend!
I hope you get to enjoy a relaxing weekend Laurie! And yes, Baby M is good in that he’s in position but he isn’t even born and already sticking his booty out at me lol!
You look amazing! I love the beagle photobombs in your bump photos!!!
Thank you so much Marilu! Those beagles love hoping in my weekly bump pics lol ๐
Love the Christmas trees- I just now noticed you all put Christmas signs in the tree- it adds a really neat touch! The quotes are awesome too- I need to remember those. Chocolate milk and pretzels sound good to me any day!! Have a wonderful weekend Rechelle!
