Cheers to the weekend, here are my weekly favorites with Andrea & Erika! We have especially been thinking of all those affected across the country, and particularly in Texas, by the severe winter weather. We had a snow day ourselves this week but it isn’t something we’re not used to and even though I was home with just the dogs & Ronald I felt perfectly safe. I’ve also been sending prayers for the farmers & ranchers through this, I’ve seen many citrus farms completely lost due to the extreme cold & livestock not survive due to lack of water or feed or falling through frozen ponds, etc. Certainly a storm that will affect us all when it comes to our food chain.
Perhaps my most FAVORITE thing all week was the arrival of our washer & dryer!!! We ordered these in November & have seen the delivery date continually get pushed back due to manufacturing impacts from Covid, so finally having them in our new home is THRILLING, lol! Our home did not come with a washer & dryer and we opted to not bring the ones from our previous home with us. So we’ve been in a house without them for just over 2 months. For the first month we still owned our first home so we’d just make trips there to do our laundry but then once that house sold we were sending our laundry with my Mom on Fridays & she’d bring it back the following week, washed & folded. THANK GOODNESS for moms!! (And I bet she is just as happy that our washer & dryer arrived lol)
Ron was traveling for work the first half of the week & we were so happy to welcome him home! Ron usually takes on the responsibility of the dogs, feeding them & letting them outside, so having to take on extra of course just meant a little more work & organization. I did take Tuesday off since we got a ton of snow & I couldn’t clear our long driveway enough for me to get out, so we had a pajama day & even brought some snow inside to play with.
We’ve been slowly trying to work on the nursery when we can & acquiring some things to fill the room. We don’t exactly have a theme decided just general colors & basic aesthetic, we’ll probably just pull some decor that we already have maybe going with some baseball pictures or music posters to add some art to the room. The bookshelf & closet cube organizer are built, the dresser is half built & the crib is up next!
We still have all the balloons & fun spread around the house from Ro’s 2nd birthday party last weekend! I shared our weekend here.
I grabbed some new dog beds recently, the previous ones were just several years old & I wanted something that looked a little nicer throughout our home. I think it’s been safe to say that the dogs approve!
And pictures from daycare are always a top favorite 🙂

As always, love seeing you sweet family. The birthday looked so cute too. We know we’re getting old when our favorite thing is a new washer and dryer… but I’m with you girl. We’re loving ours too. Can’t wait to see pics of the nursery when it’s all done!
