Another week to link up & share our favorites!
We had a really great weekend last weekend! My family came to visit us on Friday and it was so good for each of us. While some may disagree on my family choosing to get together, I think it is also important to understand that mental health is very much still a factor of overall health and being away from one another was just no longer good for us. Plus we felt safer getting together now before any of us have to open our circles and return to work, exposing ourselves more. We enjoyed pizza for lunch & then grilled out for dinner. It was just truly incredible what a few hours with our loved ones does for the soul <3
We spent a lot of time outside over the weekend, the weather was SO NICE!!! It’s been a bit cooler this week so we’re looking forward to the warmth again, hopefully soon 🙂
My sister has taken up painting during these stay at home times and made this cute little canvas for Ro! He absolutely loves it of course!!
I follow several fun kids & activity type accounts on Instagram, I’m always looking for ideas to keep Ro entertained. This week it looked like toilet paper & paper towel rolls taped to the wall with a bin to catch little things that he dropped down the tubes. It was free, since we had everything, and it entertained him a couple times for a handful of minutes each time throughout the week lol!
A looooong time ago (almost 10 years) I read this blog post and pretty much since then I’ve always wanted a giant metal chicken in my yard. A few years ago Ron had bought me a small, probably 2ft, rooster as a joke that I keep at our front door and named Beyonce. Then just 2 years ago my parents finally made all my dreams come true & gifted me my very own 6ft rooster that I proudly keep near my garden! Well I thought it was my very favorite gift of all time until now I have a one year old who is obsessed with chickens (also thanks to my parents whom have chickens). Every single day MULTIPLE times a day we have to check on the 6ft rooster which we named Tu-Bawk. Even when it is cold or raining this kid wants to go check on Tu-Bawk and he gets so concerned whenever the wind knocks him down. It is precious & I love that it is his favorite, but it also is now no longer my favorite lol!
And of course we celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Taco Tuesday! YUM!

What? An actually 6 foot chicken that isn’t named Beyonce? They all have to be Beyonce, even the roosters. lol.
