First up, a few of my favorites from the week! Linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals as I do every week 🙂
Finishing up our deck project is probably at the top of my list, so glad to have that over with!
I made this Pumkin Snickerdoodle bread and these Pumpkin Steusel muffins on Monday night and they have been delicious treats to enjoy for breakfast or at night too! Seriously, I’m already planning another batch of these muffins, YUM!
In honor of Post Season baseball (and because I received an email from Keds), I’m sharing my favorite shoes for the ballpark! My husband got me these Keds for Valentine’s a few years ago and I love them! Of course now Keds updated them to have a MLB collection and I’m swooning over a pair with that Old English D. Guess its just motivation to really wear out my current pair so I can justify a second 😉
FINALLY, this preview for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life! All the feels. FAVE. I won’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it lol.
Oh and because it wouldn’t be a Faves on Friday without these two! So sweet when they are sleeping.
Now on to my monthly book review!
Well I fell off with reading a bit this month. I was hooked on watching Parenthood and it was not good folks! (Well actually Parenthood is REALLY good, but it hindered my reading.) So, I’ve only read one book this month and I actually haven’t quite finished it…GASP!
I’m currently reading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, the first book of six in the Immortal Instruments Series. Which actually is part of the Shadow Hunters Chronicles, a five part series. There is also a TV series on Freeform called Shadow Hunters that was based on these books.
This is a very different book from what I typically read, however I have enjoyed it so far. It follows teenager Clary as she learns her origin as a Shadowhunter – half-angel warriors who protect humanity from evil. She enters another world filled with vampires and other creatures, as she tries to save her kidnapped mother.
This book has been a fun change of pace and you can expect to see reviews on the remaining of the series sprinkled in with my regular reading from Elin Hilderbrand. I’ve got Winter Street, Winter Stroll, and Winter Storms on my list to read this winter! That is if I can pull myself away from Parenthood 😉
What are you reading and watching?
