Sometimes gift giving can be so hard! I’m learning to try to stay ahead of it though. Today I thought I’d share a few ideas with you since we’re only 3 months out from the holiday season. While it seems like we’ve still got plenty of time, I do think it is best to get a jump-start. I’ve already got nearly half the people on my gift list crossed off for Christmas! It is so relieving knowing that I’ve only got a handful or so left !

Any time I see something that I think might make a good gift for someone I either send myself the link or bookmark the page. Or if I’m in store I will snap a pic and attach it to an email. I know to check through my emails/bookmarks when it gets close to a birthday or holiday to see if I had anything saved. Hopefully I do! This is especially helpful if you wait until the last-minute :\
If you do start looking ahead and give yourself plenty of time to browse and purchase I highly recommend checking out the things you see your friends or family pinning on Pinterest. Sometimes you can find a gift right there or at least send you in a good direction. Seriously, I found my mother-in-law’s birthday gift on one of her boards and guess what, she was so happy to receive it!

Theme gifts are some of my favorites, I think they can be so fun especially with the right packaging. I gave my girlfriends a cute little bundle for Christmas last year. Really wish I had a picture! It included a blanket, fuzzy socks, candle and gloves. I was able to fit the socks, gloves and candle in a mason jar which looked really cute. See some examples I found via Pinterest below!

Some of my favorite gifts I’ve given include: Wine Basket for my mom and the Mason Jar of Cozy for my girlfriends. Below is what I packaged together for my mom’s Christmas gift last year, well plus 6 bottles of wine 😉

My favorite go-to places for gifts are Anthropologie and Francesca’s. They have cute boutique type items that are fitting for just about everyone. I’ve rounded up some gifts that I think are great basics that anyone can use!

A nice hand cream is the perfect basis for a spa themed gift. Or make a cute tag and gift it alone.

Make a kitchen themed gift starting with this cookbook. Pick a recipe and throw a few of the ingredients or necessary utensils in with it.

I love a pretty mug! Perfect gift for any tea or coffee lover. Or add hot chocolate or gift card and it is ready to gift.
Right now I’ve been keeping an eye on my email for coupon codes too. I bought a Christmas gift from Anthro a couple of weeks ago for 20% off. So I got a good deal plus it evens my spending out over a couple of months rather than dropping a lot of money all at once the month leading up to Christmas!
Please share you favorite gifts or ideas in the comments!
I love the Friday favorites, I hope you have a happy weekend!
Thank you Melissa, enjoy your weekend too! 🙂
Cute ideas! I like the pampering in a jar idea. Have a great weekend!
PS Love the picture of your dogs. I am a beagle mom, too!
Thank you Ericka! I love meeting other beagle moms, so fun! Glad to know our Hank isn’t the only escape artist, ugh I don’t know how they do it :\
