This Friday Favorites link up with Andrea is dedicated to my FAVORITE BEAGLES! Tomorrow we celebrate the birthdays of these 2 Beagle boys! I wrote a post last year for their birthday sharing how we became a beagle pack.
Since they were both strays before we adopted them we don’t actually know their birthdays or ages, so we picked July 15th since it is between Ron & I’s birthday’s! We think Hank is about 7 and Hal 6. Regardless we LOVE ‘EM!
ย
Recently I’ve been noticing more and more white hair around Hank’s muzzle and no joke it makes me cry every single time! He hasn’t slowed down much though and is still pretty crazy so I’m thankful for that lol
ย
Hal is just so darn CUTE, more times than I could count either Ron or I am saying “just look at how cute Hal is!” I think he looks like a such a little puppy when he plays haha
ย
Sometimes I get sad that we missed out on their first few years of life but I know that our paths crossed exactly when they were supposed to and I’m happy for that! We could have missed out on their love and I just can not imagine life without them!
Here’s to another year celebrating the beagle life!
ย
Oh AND…I am SO excited to share that I was selected to be a part of Melanie Shankle‘s launch group for her new book, Church of the Small Things! I’ll be sharing more details as I receive them but I was beyond stoked with this news!!! I’ve read Melanie’s previous books and always LOVE them. I read The Antelope in the Living Room, shortly after it came out in 2014 (before I actually got married), and I thought it was such a real book about sharing life with your spouse! Then when Nobody’s Cuter Than You came out in 2015 I picked that one up too, its about girlfriends and I loved it fiercely just like my ladies ๐ While I haven’t read her book about motherhood, Sparkly Green Earrings, I’m sure it is just as good.

Happy Birthday to your beagles. We just celebrated my Mom’s dog’s birthday earlier this week (he’s part Beagle, part Jack Russell terrier – which is an adorable combination) and my niece was so excited that he knows how to open presents by himself. Happy Friday!

Thanks Angela! Your Mom’s dog sounds so cute, love when they have such personalities too! ๐

Oh, I’m a beagle mom, too! He was also a stray and they think he was around 2 when we got him. He is now (estimated) 8 1/2! He is showing a lot more gray on his muzzle, too and I completely understand about how sad it makes you. I just can’t think about it. My little boy is Buford and he is definitely Mr. Personality! Can’t imagine our lives without my boy..he is such a joy (and a stinker). ๐
