Oh what a week!! Linking up with Andrea and sharing my favorites this week π
The spring weather has been our FAVORITE recently, getting outside more is just the best! I also appreciate that it keeps a toddler from making a mess in the house lol. It is so funny to watch Ro outside, he won’t even necessarily be playing he’ll just run around.Β
But this video is the best of all time, LOL! The freaking flying shoe just gets me every single time, even a week later!!!
This little plant was left behind from the previous home owners. They moved out in August, when we saw the house in October I did water it, but we didn’t even move in until December. I was so excited this week to see new growth! I’ve certainly killed my fair share of plants but I always love when I am able to bring some back to life π
Last Friday with Grandma <3 Ro makes the funniest faces and he & Grandma always tire each other right out, he naps hard on Fridays!
I’ve been trying to work a bit each night on styling some spaces in our home, pulling things together from decor that we already have. Not necessarily what I have in mind for long term but at least it is starting to look put together for now. I really appreciate having a toddler who is very observant & notices all the little decor I am adding lol
I finished putting together Ro’s Easter basket, plus a tiny one for baby brother, in hopes of being prepared yet also fully expecting him not to be here just yet π I went with a mix of practical & fun for the Easter basket. Some spring & summer shoes (I always remember getting new sandals in our basket growing up), a swim suit, & chalk. Almost every single day at daycare Ro is wearing one of these animals face masks, so I knew we needed them for home too! Ro loves pushing around his wheeled toys inside (and terrorizing the dogs) so I figured he needed something to push outside, hence the lawn mower. These sticker books usually provide a good amount of entertainment, we do have to help get the stickers off but Ro makes faces all on his own. And I don’t know how but we didn’t have Happy Easter, Mouse yet in our home library so I added that since Mouse has been a long time fave!
I also grabbed this egg filler kit, these wind up dinos, & wind up cars from Target to fill Easter eggs with! Inexpensive, entertaining, & better than filling with all candy.Β
I am OBSESSED with this dry shampoo!! Several months ago I decided to move away from aerosol dry shampoo since it tends to have more toxic ingredients & the gases are just not great. I was using this sprinkle powder & actually really like it! Sure it isn’t as convenient as a spray can but my health (and my family’s too!) is worth the sacrifice. Then I decided to try this one out, even cleaner ingredients but brings back the spray feature WITHOUT the aerosol gasses!!! It smells so good & is actually probably the best dry shampoo that I have EVER used, it works so well at soaking up the oil & adding some texture/volume to my hair for non wash days.Β
Last real big FAVE is that this little guy is back to taking baths!! We had probably a solid 6 weeks where he just refused a bath or shower. We tried to force it a couple times which ended in trauma, stress, & tears for all involved – just totally not worth it. So he’s been getting washcloth baths while we tried everything imaginable – special toys, books (I checked out so many bath books from the library), shows with his favorite characters about bathtime, soaps/bath bombs, etc. We kept offering bath but didn’t insist if he said no. Then finally last weekend he ASKED to get in the bath!!! Bless it π

Adorable pictures and Easter baskets. I’m glad Ro is taking baths again, that must have been frustrating!

Thanks! It was a bit maddening, especially at first, glad we all worked through it π
