It is the last Friday of the year, can you believe 2017 is almost over?!?! Linking up one last time this year with Andrea, Erika, and Narci to share my weekly faves! Along with Narci for her Carpool Book Club, wrapping up the books I’ve read this month AND my top books of the YEAR!
Project 52, Week 51

I shared my FAVORITE posts from 2017 here on Monday!
On Wednesday I shared some from our fun weekend! Including a Cinderella play and of course Christmas too!
My Mom shared this on her social media and even though I know I’ve mentioned it before its still a FAVORITE! Bless all those who sacrifice their special days with family to go to work and keep the world spinning
I ended the year strong with reading and surpassed my goal for the year too! I’m going to try to read just a few more books next year π You can always follow me along on Goodreads to see what I’m currently reading & rating.
I sat on this book for a while after it came in from the library and then left myself 3 days before it was due to read, oops! However, it was seriously such a good read that it really wasn’t a problem at all!!! I even named it one of my top books of 2017 below π
This book is about a family that is everything but normal. Merit collects trophies she hasn’t earned and secrets her family forces her to keep. Her mother, once diagnosed with cancer though overcame it, lives in the basement, her father is married to the mother’s former nurse whom he also has a child with, and the eldest siblings are sickeningly perfect. This book was all sorts of crazy yet oddly relatable too. An easy read and I loved every minute!
A perfect little wintery Christmas book! I finished this one just on the plane ride down to Arizona, it was a quick easy read. The story really reminded me of something that would be on the Hallmark channel π
I love all things Nantucket since finding Elin Hilderbrand so I thought I’d give this one a try. Nancy Thayer also writes her novels based in Nantucket and I thought this was a great one to start out with!
TOP BOOKS OF 2017
I read the first 3 books of this series last January and then the final one in October after it was released. I LOVE Elin Hilderbrand and I LOVED this series too! Perfect winter read π
This book moved me big time. It is a little heavy in that it isn’t just a sweet love story but it was OH SO GOOD! I still think about this one after reading it in February.
I also read this one in February and it pulled at my heart strings too! A story of caring, endurance, hope, and most certainly love!
Elin Hilderbrand is my FAVORITE! I loved this novel because there were a couple characters from previous novels that made appearances and it just felt special. Plus the food that was in this book just sounded divine when I read it in April!
Another heart-wrenching story but one that I could not stop reading from July! Emma marries her high school sweetheart who goes missing within one year and is presumed dead. She eventually moves on with her life when her sweetheart is finally found years later! I could not imagine what I’d do in the situation but the author did an EXCELLENT job and I felt so good about the ending.
I guess I forgot to review this one on the blog, but I really did love it so much! The story line was interesting and it was written in a different tone/style then what I guess I typically read. This one follows a couple that finds one other again 15 years later, still very much in love.
I was so excited when I was selected to be in the launch group for this book, I very much love Melanie’s books and this one was no different! A perfect reminder that life is made up of all the little things.
I asked for this book for my birthday and when I first started reading it in August I was a little skeptical. However, I ended up truly loving this one and its encouragement to be the best wife I can. I lent this one to a friend and would love for all my ladies to read it!
Recently read this book in November and was blown away by it and I’m not typically into thrillers or mystery. I couldn’t believe how real this story felt and it left me in major suspense throughout!
I just read this one this month and am now convinced to pick up more Colleen Hoover books since 2 made my top list this year!
