HAPPY FRIDAY! I’m sharing a few of my favorites from this week as well as my Petit Vour review. Still linking up with Andrea of course 🙂
I’ve changed out my Halloween decor for just fall, see my post from Monday for what our festive house looked like before I took it all down.
I shared how to keep your home clean (or at least try!) during the holidays on Wednesday, see it here.
These Hot Cocoa Cupcakes are seriously the best cupcake I’ve ever had! I’ll be making these all winter long, add them to your list now!
I won these Diff Eyewear sunglasses in a giveaway hosted by Abi at Bloomability and received them this week. They are a little bigger than I am used to but I am having fun rocking them!
I received my second Petit Vour box a couple weeks ago and figured it was time to share what I received and my thoughts on each! Petit Vour is a vegan & cruelty free beauty subscription box, you see my first review from September here.
Red Apple Lipstick in Rebel $23.50
The brand describes this color as a red with blue undertones. I’d call it a pinkish red. There were a few other colors that it looks like subscribers received, I think I would have preferred a more neutral versus this bold lip color. However, I LOVE the formula!!! I am not a huge lipstick wearer but this might convert me, it is seriously so smooth and creamy and goes on super easy. This item alone was well worth the box this month! I tried it out for Halloween 🙂
Apoterra Skincare Tulsi Body Oil $7
This body oil is recommended to be used after a shower or bath to lock in moisture, it has fatty acids in it that rejuvenate and replenish your skin. The smell is like aromatherapy itself and I enjoy using this at night. This product definitely opened me up to using body oil versus lotion!
Kahina – Giving Beauty Beldi Soap $5
I found this to be a little tricky to use. It can be used just to cleanse or to also cleanse/soften (exfoliate). To cleanse it could be applied at the end of your shower and rinsed off. To exfoliate though it needed to be applied at the end of your shower and then left for 10 minutes before rinsing. Since we are headed into winter and thus colder months I wanted to try to second method. It worked out and my skin really was silky smooth! I also appreciated the fact that there is enough in the sample for a few uses. The look and smell was a little seaweed like but I didn’t mind it much.
PAI Serum Concentrate $3
This was another oil similar to a product from last month. With just a drop or two massaged into clean dry skin it conditioned and smoothed my skin. I can’t say this sample is enough to really notice a huge difference after multiple uses though. The smell is also really strong and not necessarily a good scent, very plant like, though it does go away. Not my favorite.
The subscription is $15/month and this month’s value came to $38.50, a full size lipstick was included that is worth more than the box alone! Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes?
