Happy Independence Day! In honor of the great American holiday I thought I’d share with you some of my red, white, and blue decor. I don’t do muted America decorations, we go bold in this house. I put my decor out ahead of Memorial day and it stays out til after the Fourth of July. I’ll likely be pulling out my summer decor this coming weekend and I’ll share that too once it is all up
Most of what I have is either thrifted or from Target, naturally. I will provide links where possible though.
Starting outside in our driveway and coming in through the front door. We were gifted a nice all-weather flag and mount (similar here) and obviously I had to make a Target Dollar Spot purchase with my front door hanger.
First thing in the door is this little coat hanger spot. Yes, I even arranged my Charlie Brown books in red, white and blue order. I love picking up these clings in the dollar spot too!
I have to be careful with my kitchen table decor. Hank can jump up on the table (he only ever does it when we aren’t home) and will take things as toys or knock them off and break them. So I kept it simple this time, also because I knew we would have guests and I didn’t want the table cluttered, making eating difficult or cramped.
I love these little succulents! My sister collects copper things and I picked up this piece at a yard sale for her, after putting the succulent in it though I don’t want to give it away, oops! (see similar signs here)
My hutch! I have plans to paint this piece, it just hasn’t happened yet. I’m thinking a distressed red. I have the most fun changing up decor with this piece! (light up stars here)
The counter nearest the hutch. I just bought the sign last weekend and I keep finding myself singing the song (“You’re a Grand Old Flag”). It is so fun! (see similar signs here)
Finally this little corner behind our couch is reserved for baseball. I don’t normally decorate this corner except at Christmas but when I put this decor out for the start of baseball season I just couldn’t take it down quite yet, so it found its way over here. I think this may be a corner I continue to decorate and find trinkets for. (baseball box sign here, similar signs here)
And that is all! I hope you enjoyed my little bits of patriotic decor. How about you, what is your home decor like? Do you change it up for each holiday and/or season?
