Project 52 Week 39, eeks only 3 months left of this year, where has the time gone?!
Ron was off for a couple days this week and getting snaps like these throughout the day was definitely my FAVORITE!
On Wednesday I did a 3 Things Right Now post for each of us and I just love comparing it to the previous ones I’ve done.
Last weekend I baked 4 types of fall treats! Some for us & to share and some to freeze for later. These pumpkin whoopie pies have been my husband’s favorite and the cream cheese zucchini muffins have been mine, YUM!!!
It has become part of our Sunday routine for me drive us to run our errands. Earlier in the summer Ron started teaching me how to drive stick shift in an empty parking lot on Sundays before we ran errands. Now that I’ve caught on and have a good grasp I practice by driving to actual places, I’ll be honest I’m not super confident and the actual driving is not my favorite. However, what is my favorite is my driving instructor 😉 Seriously Ron is the best teacher ever, he is so calm and gives me tons of affirmations! He has the perfect balance of knowing when to push me because he knows I am capable and when to ease off because my nerves are shot. It is also my favorite knowing that he will be so good at teaching our kids to drive someday and I’ll be able to take the back seat on that one haha
On to share my review of my Petit Vour box! Petit Vour is a cruelty free beauty subscription box that is $15/month, I typically receive 4-5 products and often one of them is full size. You can also purchase the products directly from Petit Vour and earn points to redeem on future purchases! I’ve been subscribed to Petit Vour for nine months now, since September, you can scroll through my previous reviews here.
What an excellent short week! I’m linking up with Andrea as usual to share my favorites from the week 🙂
As always, here is my Project 52, week 21 layout. For each week this year I am using the Project Life app to make a page so that at the end of the year I can print a book of all our memories, I’m especially happy to capture the everyday little moments that really make up our lives!
In my What’s Up Wednesday post I shared that we tried a one month subscription to Mitten Crate, I thought today I’d share the goodies that came in the box since some have become our favorites 🙂 I’ve been munching on the chocolate covered cherries as a little after work treat, yum! The peanut butter has a good flavor and smell which is a lot coming from someone who does NOT like peanut butter, I tried a lick 😉 We were excited to try the fudge since it is literally from just down the road!Haven’t tried to chips or soda just yet and the shortbread cookies surprised us both! I actually REALLY like the lavender/lemon combo!
Of course Memorial Day was an absolute FAVORITE of mine this week! My little hometown goes from a quiet little village to what we consider HOPPING! Here are a few early morning pictures before festivities kicked off and some from during the parade =]
Hank and Hal lounged hard! It was a sunshiny and we spent most of the weekend outside, it was perfection!
And obviously we had to indulge in an elephant ear, is it really Memorial Day or the start of summer if you don’t?!
Ron took Tuesday off from work to go to the other side of the state to pick up a transmission for the Corvette and I enjoyed these 2 snaps of my FAVE beags <3
Last night I worked in the yard a little and Ron worked out in the garage, he had to run to the hardware store quick and came home with flowers & beer too. I usually just buy flowers for myself because they make me smile or cut them from my yard during the summer so it was a happy little surprise that he thought to do that for me, its been a while, making it all the more SWEETER!
Project 52, Week 20
I blogged about the Bachelorette festivities I got to join in on last weekend on Monday.
Lately Hank has been crawling under our bed for bedtime each night and its a favorite to see for sure! He used to do this EVERY SINGLE NIGHT for the first year our so we got him 🙂 It was how he told us it was time for bed lol
We’ve been prepping our garden plot and I can’t wait to get everything planted next weekend!
I shared my May book review this week, I just love a good read 🙂
I made this caprese salad as a side with dinner one night an I’m obsessed!!! My favorite thing all well, yum!
And my absolute favorite eye makeup remover is having a sale, use code summereyes for 20% off!
Project 52, Week 19
Today I’m off for a Bachelorette party weekend in Traverse City! So expect some fun pictures from my weekend in my posts next week! Some of us actually headed to northern Michigan last night to get a head start on the festivities 🙂
On Monday I shared our Mother’s Day weekend which included a trip to IKEA, check out the post to see some of the fab finds we got!
Wednesday I joined in on the Ladies Who Link and shared our Memorial Day weekend plans of how we kick off summer, which has me SO looking forward to next weekend!
Finally, a look at my April Petit Vour box! Scroll through my previous Petit Vour subscription reviews here.
MarieNatie Love Marie Lip Gloss – This smells AMAZING!!! I love this gloss and really want to try other colors. I’ve always been more of a gloss girl than a lipstick one so I was SO HAPPY to see this in my box. The color is so natural and pretty too!
French Girl Organics Cuticle Oil – I’m pretty rough on my hands between building things at work then coming home to help my husband in the garage or dishes or gardening. I’ve usually got hangnails or something going on. I prefer not to have my fingernails painted for this very reason, because it just doesn’t last long. So I was excited to try out this cuticle oil, I’ve been using it daily! Usually I apply in the morning before I leave for work and then again at night before bed. I haven’t noticed life changing results but I certainly have seen an improvement!
Suntegrity Skincare Makeup with SPF – I’ve been using this on days when it is sunny and I know I’m going to be outside. I also still use my foundation which is SPF15 during the week. What I like about this though is that it is tinted making it perfect for weekends when I don’t like to do my makeup and keep things simple. It isn’t crazy moisturizing like it claims but I’m all about sun protection and trying anything to make sure I’m covered!
Nubian Heritage Body Lotion – I immediately fell in LOVE with this scent! My husband said it smelled like something an old lady would wear but I don’t even care one bit! It has a very high end luxury feel too it and would make a perfect gift.
